A question would be whether their signage indicates "Tesla vehicle charging only" or "Vehicle Charging Only". Obviously the latter given that they've opened their network, but I think that Tesla needs to improve their signage to eliminate the ambiguity.

I love it! And just as I predicted! Can't wait for the "Tesla owners are great tolerant peeps" apologist to come and defend the ? wanting to call the police!

???
There are over 2 million tesla owners out there, and there is one incident of a Tesla owner being an Arse (and frankly I would be upset too if someone took 2 spots and couldn't even use the stall because they didn't have the right equipment.) And now you're implying that all Tesla owners are a**hole?

Calm down, Sparky. Not once have I called any Tesla owner an a**hole. But a few months ago in a different thread posted here I said I was looking forward to watching Tesla owners freak out when a non-Tesla owner used "their" chargers! And people like you said it will never happen... ? ? ?

FYI the "g" word you used above (that I bleeped) is an ethnic slur. Many people don't know that and use it unwittingly but it's equivalent to a certain "j" word that most people would not utter in polite company (or at all, ever).
No offense was meant. I am so out of touch I had to lookup who I slurred and even then I am not sure what j word you are referring too.

While I am not one to care what words people use, it is not my place to tell someone if they should or should not be offended so I have edited my post.

$12.99 Tesla membership I signed up for last month, shall I cancel it as a result of this incident ?

Drivers have pulled up looking more puzzled seeing my Mach E taking up the wrong space.

The current dearth of reliable and unfettered charging is one of the reasons why EV adoption has slowed. If the Tesla network is currently the 'gold standard', the other major players in the charging game (EA, EVgo, Chargepoint) need to step up and improve their experience, for CCS and NACS. With 'experience parity' this kind story will probably fade away. And with the IONNA network (backed by BMW, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, and Stellantis) coming online by 2030, charging availability hopefully will become a non-issue. Not sure how financially healthy EA, EVgo and especially Chargepoint (losing money) are and how much they can afford to invest in upping their games in the short term to match Tesla's experience. Time will tell. M-and-A may be in the cards for some.

You could park a little more to the right as common courtesy.

Look, this charging thing just like gas station are shared services. You'd pull a bit forward in a gas station to ensure your fellow driver can also use the pump behind. Let's be courteous and don't park like in such a way to impede others like the Rivian fellow and a Ford Lightning example that took up multiple spots or sidewalk. Try not to be a meme.
My old grade school teacher used to say "common decency kids!".

I just foresee aggravations during long weekend travelling at busy SCs.

Speaking of standardization, I watched a documentary on Norway's EV success. One of the key factor is standardizing charge ports. In EU I think it is CCS. Even Teslas SC are CCS. EV folks seem pretty harmonious. I think they even have charging docks on street parking kinda like parking meters but able to charge EVs. That would eliminate range and charging anxiety.

Along that line, let's standardize charge port location! I think most ICEV gas port is located to the rear.

Couldn't - cable length was too short.

I had to park with my tires touching the curb at a slight angle due to the length of the cable and adapter angle.

The first one I went to had one spot that had a “Tesla Charging Only” sign. It was also a spot that was like the one in the photo. It would have been perfect but I thought it was reserved for some reason. Tge second station I visited had those signs on every spot so I just ignored them.

If you haven’t tried many SCs, you find each SC has its own set of variables, sometimes making the Mach-E charge port location a real challenge to reach and parking less than perfect. I was just at a location which had the offset SC used with bike racks, when this is on the left end you can probably charge there without burning a space but ultimately you need scan the site and pick the best available space.

In any case, the spot to the left can only be used by another non-Tesla but you would like to keep it open so they don’t move to the left and burn another wasted space.
