Never had a confrontation about being allowed to pump dinosaur juice in my car. If I do while charging just gonna accept the feedback, unplug, keep my mouth shut and move on. People are capable of doing some pretty shifty things to one another.

Both parties were armed and multiple drugs were found.

The first one I went to had one spot that had a “Tesla Charging Only” sign. It was also a spot that was like the one in the photo. It would have been perfect but I thought it was reserved for some reason. Tge second station I visited had those signs on every spot so I just ignored them.

Granted I don't take my law school classes until next month but generally signs like the Tesla one in private parking lots are not binding or enforceable by anyone other than the parking lot owner. Not all states are the same of course... That said Tesla owners can try to call the police on offending Bolt's in their charging spots but the police really can't do much about it. It's up to the parking lot owner.

I've seen some charge spots that are open to anyone for 30 minutes... I believe it was a gas station/convenience store setup where customers in any type of car could park in the spots with chargers up to 30 minutes... and IIRC it was Tesla owners who were upset about this policy after seeing a ICE in their spot.

Most petrol cars have its gas cap located at the rear. Perhaps it is time to standardize charge port locations as well.
With most EV makers kow-towing to Tesla's NACS, I think this would be the next evolution.

We were walking down a street when my daughter spotted a Leaf being charged. She asked me why does it have the connection at the nose?
So we have:

- the neck plug (ie MachE, MX30, polestar 2, most PHEVs, id4...)
- the nose plug (Leaf, Kona)
- the butt plug (teslas, ev6, ioniq5...)

Eh, seems like a post/article specifically designed to elicit a strong reaction out of people (that gets more clicks). It's missing key details, like was the station full and the angry guy was blocked?

I was at a Tesla station on Wednesday with my adapter. Guy with a model Y walked over and was super nice. He even spotted me while I inched over the curb in order to get close enough to use the short cable. Other Tesla drivers didn't even look up to see that a non-Tesla was charging near them.

Personally, I think the article was just what it was. I read it as anticipated "karens" entitlement reaction. It is unfortunately what we are living with today. If someone doesn't like you or what your doing they believe it is illegal.

However, the article sounds like the Rivian driver doesn't really know who she called. She could have been on the phone with anyone..... Doesn't sound like there was a police interaction, unless I read it wrong.
