Yep, I am in that camp too. I ponied up the $600 at the end of December when I started to get updates again earlier in the month and thought I was on the cusp of 1.3, but now that I'm over the 3 years I'm seriously considering turning off OTA and just being happy with 1.0 until my options plan expires next February and I move on. Otherwise I really like the car, but at this point I am SOL with random updates potentially causing serious problems. I've never ever bought an extended warranty, but given Ford's policies I regret not getting one now.I can't go that far, but I am concerned that an OTA can break the car, and it's the owner's responsibility to cover the costs to fix it. That's unacceptable. I'd turn off OTA's at this point except that I was induced to renew BlueCruise when 1.4 was supposedly arriving in November 2023, and I'd like to *finally* receive what I paid for.
I still may keep the car after the options, but I am not liking the vibe coming from Dearborn. The problem is I won't go back to an ICE and there aren't a lot of even moderately reliable choices. GM and VW clearly have serious software problems of their own, and I refuse to give Elon a penny.
