Hey folks. I hand wash my pony. Most of the time after washing is spent drying, especially since the car seems to have endless places for water to hide: under headlights, under rear hatch window, between tail-lights and body. Many times I will find myself thinking that I'm done, only to find that a few minutes later a small drip of water makes its way out from under the rear window, or the seam between the body and the tail-lights.

Has anyone found a method to quickly get rid of all the water from those hiding spots?

The method I use is a clean synthetic chamois for drying the body. An older chamois for doing the door jambs, and under trunk/frunk lids. Then an air compressor with a blower gun with a rubber grommet on the tip. Blow out any water in the cracks, and continue to wipe down.

Is this before or after you put on a graphene coating :p

I tend to open and close doors/tailgate multiple times to get any embedded water moving. Also get the side mirrors moving. Then I move on to a blower.

I finished with some edgeless microfiber towels from Chemical Guys. Worked great.

I use microfiber towels, then drive sedately until the rotors are dry. Then I take it on the freeway and beat on it. Unless it’s the Blazer. I just drop into a mud puddle and beat on it there. ??

I've done the drive fast down the block trick. But that causes water streaks, and a Karen down the block hates when I go 50 in 25 for some reason....

I wanted to find a more efficient way to prevent those, looks like the leaf blower is a common theme here, so I'll give that a try :).

Whenever you are done rinsing the car, lift the back hatch. This drains the excessive water trapped there. Same for the frunk but it's not nearly as bad

You really can't beat a leaf blower, zero contact so no possibility of dirt ending up in your towel/chamois. Plus it's quick and gets water out of all the crevices easy.

Leaf blower or air compressor first, followed up by some microfiber towels.
