How accurate is the car Scanner app for SOH of the battery? Mine is almost 3 years old and shows 91%. Only have 24k miles. (Premium ER AWD) I charge to 90%. Just wondering if this sounds about right. I don’t really notice any change in range though.

The app just reports what the car says the SOH is, which is just what the battery BMS calculates it is. It will update over time, and needs periodic 100% charge cycles to help it calculate, so if you are curious you could try charging to 100%, driving for a while, then checking it again.

Generally speaking though SOH is a very hard thing to pin down for such a large group of cells, so any calculation that the BMS does is a pretty rough estimate, because it has to compare the change over time in how voltage changes with discharge, which is looking for a very small change in a very small measurement.

Thanks, i dont charge to 100% often except a few road trips. I’ll try your suggestion.
