Mine is off by 5-7 degrees higher.
Compare to that Mercedes and Acura readings are spot on within 1 degree.

I’ve talked about this in numerous posts, but you have to be going faster than 20 mph for several minutes before the temp reading updates. If it’s still off and your have front PPF applied, verify the hole around the temp sensor is not covered with PPF. Covering the temp sensor with PPF is a very common installation mistake.

I know it takes driving to make it accurate, and I don’t have PPD on my car (though I’ve considered it).

My Honda always seemed far more accurate and far faster.

Yes, sensor placement in ICE vehicles is much easier because they have wide open front grille so it responds to temp change faster. EVs have closed front ends, so getting a good temp reading in a shaded location is much harder.

The temp reading is accurate on the Mach-E after you've been moving for a few minutes. You'll just learn to ignore the reading for the first couple minutes. I don't even bother looking at it until I've been driving 5+ minutes.
