Yep, ford is the worst at communicating. I mean why would I be here to complain about it. Just go buy another vehicle and move on. Since it's so bad.

You order a tesla you place it says the weeks. that's it. they are not holding your hand each week. Neither is other companies. Advertising and extra are going away people. Profit margins are shrinking.
The old way is leaving. people wanted I pick my car, I order online let me know when it's here. That is the way ALL auto manufacturers are going. Act like other auto manufacturers are just leaping to call each person all the time or send emails. My neighbor had ordered a polstar2. He heard nothing then just got an email it's delayed no reason why or anything. It was already a long drive to get so he canceled it and got an ID4 on order. Then lol it got delayed. They went and purchased Lexus.

It's going to be all the same with online ordering. Less info here is your car it's ready.
may not be the worst but certain ain't great. unless it is about sending emails to buy SD cards to update the nav maps then you get all the emails you want

Times are changing people. The tesla model worked and ALL not some all will be moving to place your order online. You're going to go online pick what you like to order it. Then they will give you an estimate when it will be here. When it's here go test drive if you like to buy if not move on.

That is the future. Maybe some of you never been in the manufacturing aspect of things but every minute something changes and has to be reworked.
Just last month we had a semi get into a wreck with engines. Total loss. Ford had to cancel overtime work for that weekend. So someone's vehicle will now be a day later. So ford has to pay someone to track down who send an email and tell them why.

Some prima donna needs to get over themselfs.

I'm surprised the system isn't automated already. My Mach-E was built two weeks ago per the dealer, I haven't gotten a single email from Ford about it, and it still shows as "In Production week of 12/7" online. So Vehicle Visibility is not in sync with the Ford.com account page, which seems odd - I'd assume they were in lock step.

I don't see any reason we shouldn't see the full history just like a UPS package - where the train is with our cars, etc. since the data is already available in Vehicle Visibility.

I'll agree with you. Thanks to some knowledgeable members here we first got the FordTracker website and now the tacking at the top of the page. I think it would be better if Ford provided this sort of feedback regularly to all buyers. We're in the 21st century now.

And which auto manufacturer does this? Hear ford being said, Tesla does not do that. So sounds more like it should be said I wish all Auto manufacturers would do it.

I got an email from the concierge from my Ford dealership introducing himself with the promise of a phone call in a couple of days. I think it was an auto email generated for whenever a mache order comes in. So I don't believe Ford intend to be a low communications company, by that email I see a policy effort to hand hold the customer.

The phone call didn't happen so it failed at dealership level!

Why does Ford need to follow? I thought Farley wants Ford to "lead the electrification revolution" not "follow Tesla."

You get some of that information yourself looking at your ford account.

been in the customer business and even a little communication goes a long way. But some fanboys do need to get over themselves

For some, there is never enough communication. For me, I have received all the communication from Ford that I expected:

1. Notification my order was accepted (6/30/2020)
2. Notification of my color change order (9/4/2020)
3. Notification of price change -- decrease!! (9/29/2020)
4. Notification my car has been scheduled for production week of 1/10/2021 (11/5/2020)

I expect to be notified when the car has been built and again when shipped. It sounds like customers are not getting the last two notifications. Am I correct?

It's the same person different name people. Same one that argued over the same things months ago with his tesla. Just a new name. Life for him must be sad to come back this many times.

Whereas I got this "quality" email (the strikethrough is theirs, not mine) from my dealer while I've been reading this thread. You'd think their "internet sales" would know not only am I interested, I've had an active order for 6 months.

I would just be happy (not that I am an angry ballerina) with a message saying we are planning on your order to start in such and such quarter. Or maybe just saying "hi we know you are awaiting your car be sure that are working hard to get it out to you. thank you for your patience"
