Mobile tech just left my home after completing the 25S65/25V404 (rear passenger door) recall on my 2021 MachE. He mentioned that he found 5 modules that had updates available and he updated those. Could someone check my VIN (3FMTK3SU1MMA08471) for the module updated.
Curious if I should notice...
What’s equally as important is the quality of your dealers support. A lot of dealers really suck and can make your ownership experience a living hell.
My “Premium Care” Ford Extended Care Warranty does not mention body/structure elements as a covered item. You may have a hard time convincing Ford to foot the bill for this repair, unless you can prove a manufacturing defect. A couple of failures doesn’t prove this.
Your HVB is likely to change more due to temperature changes than a few months of storage. After my last trip of 3 months, my battery was actually 1% higher when I returned. Probably due to a 10 degree temperature increase in my garage…..just my experience.
I have read a lot of conflicting information on this subject. I do know that Ford has said a number of things that turned out to be incorrect, so I take Ford’s advice carefully. In this case, I do agree that the car should not be connected to your EVSE while on extended travel. I’ve had my car...
I took delivery of my 2021 Job 1 AWD Extend Battery Rapid Red MachE in March of 2021. Being retired and out of the country 4 months of the year, I have only put 24K miles in 3 1/2 years of ownership. The only problem with the car, other than recalls, has been the failure to download any updates...
Both Ford and my dealer confirmed that any module covered by your extended warranty would be covered for a failure due to software within the module. You will need to escalate thru Ford.
Your dealer service techs don’t have access to FDRS. They only see updates for recalls and CSPs. They are correct that you would pay for out of warranty software updates, unless part of a recall/CSP. I recommend you post your VIN on this thread...
Welcome to the forum. There are many causes to delays in OTA updates. Some recent history of your car would be helpful. Has it been in service and connected to cellular service prior to your purchase?
I recommend checking the following settings:
1. Is auto-updating enabled in your sync car...
Have them schedule a conference call with you and the appropriate escalation manager at Ford. Then you will know who is taking what action to fix your car. This issue should be covered under the 8 year/100k miles warranty. Have them commit to a repair date or buy-back process.
Even successful downloads can take several attempts to install correctly. I would give it another attempt tonight and see if any new messages show on your sync screen tomorrow morning. Good Luck!
It's easy with an account. Logon to your account and then open the profile menu again and select your account ("first name - account). This should be the top option. Let that page populate and you should see your tire pressure, charge level & est distance. The charge level is your 12V charge...
We all were when we first received our cars. Unfortunately, the easiest way to see your 12V battery charge level is thru your ford.com account. Do you have a Ford.com account?
