@janitorjim and @Illinibird: Are you signed up to receive emails from Ford Authority? I get 1 to 4 emails almost every day from them. A couple a week involve the Mach E. If you have not signed up to receive their emails, why are you complaining? I also have received every email every step of the way from [email protected] on my Mach E order, but only after I enrolled with them to send me those emails. I imagine with thousands of anxious customers with orders for their vehicles, they spend a lot of time answering inquiries by phone and email. I have not contacted them once, figuring that persistent phone calls from me are not going to help them get my order to my dealer any quicker. More likely such activity will only consume already scarce resources. I will also say that my dealer has sent me some info a few times and always replied promptly when I had a question or comment. I realize my experience with my dealer is likely rare in these circles, but when I placed my order, I took the dealer contact into account and have been pleased so far. Happy New Year!
Yes, I am, thank you. Get a lot of useful information there. Certainly NOT complaining about that as Ford communicates well through the e-newsletter (I, too, get numerous e-mails from them every day). :)

My beef with Ford, as you know, is lack of communication with their customers who ordered the Mach E. Sending e-mails periodically would not be a huge expense for Ford (I personally would like an estimate from Ford as to when they think I might get a VIN number and have production of my car start with a 10-12-20 order date. April? June? August?). Nuf said.

BMW likewise gives buyers very detailed and granular visibility into the entire order/build/shipping process.

You don't need to call the dealer to get a VIN or ask them for detailed information, it's all readily available to the owner online.

You can also easily track every truck, train or ship your car is on. If you car is coming from Europe to the west coast, you can watch the ship pass through the Panama Canal via webcam if you want. Alternatively, you can pick up your car at the South Carolina plant even if it's built in Europe.

If you do have any questions during the process, BMW has a toll free number to talk to a rep who won't just tell you to call your dealer.
Lincoln Motors concierge is at a different level, communication is amazing. Lincoln is more along the lines of BMW and other Luxury Lines. Fords not at that level, unless your buying a GT, but then you have to know your special already to do that.

That is true. However, @engnrng still has a valid point. Ford Authority and hundreds of other blogs and news outlets publish Mustang Mach-E news quite regularly, especially in response to Ford's press releases (here's a list of those, by the way).

If someone is thirsty for more Mach-E news, outlets like Ford Authority are another reasonable option.
I'm thirsty for news about the Mach E that I ordered on 10-12-2020. To date, I've had ONE e-mail communication from Ford (and that came the day I after I ordered my car).

And, you took another "hit" when there were no Tour cars near you, if I recall correctly. I was indeed fortunate that I was able to see Tour cars 3 times in 6 weeks (each time about an hour away). My sympathy goes out to you and I hope you are getting most of what you need/want from this forum. This is the 5th time in over 15 years that I have participated in such a forum for a new car model release and the posters here are FAR more knowledgeable and intelligent than those I have experienced before. Thank You to all!

P.S. I will maintain my involvement and contribute what I can even after I get my MME. I hope and expect others to do the same! I am sure there is more to learn than even Ford knows at this time...!

I think one of the cool things about the Tesla community (I don’t own one) is all of the videos they post on YouTube. I’m looking forward to the MME videos once people start getting their cars.

Right about the Mustang Mach E Tour cars; I am in "Fly Over" country so no tours. It was pointed out to me that one was shown at the Chicago Auto Show but I didn't hear or know about it. This forum is great and yes, I get 99% of my answers right here! I get to test drive the Mach E at the dealer I ordered the car from hopefully the second week of January. Only Ford can keep me appraised as to when my car might be scheduled, however.

Cleveland Auto Show pre-pandemic.

Agreed. I was simply stating that complaining to us about the same thing, many times and in many different posts, is frustrating me. But that's just me. Feel free to continue discussing whatever, as long as we're civil and understanding that we're each different.

If communication seems insufficient and is frustrating, let the marketing department know. They have a phone line dedicated to Mustang Mach-E. It's the same phone number listed throughout the Mach-E ordering and FAQ pages: 800-392-3673. Give them your feedback if you think it might help affect change for you and others in the future.

I apologize. I think my initial response may have been taken more harshly than was intended.
Apology accepted.
