I probably should have seen this coming. I added the back door handles to prevent passengers from touching the paint when opening the door. A friend of my didn’t know how to open the door and yanked on the handle disconnecting the trim from the vehicle. It seems like I just need to re-glue it back, but I’m not entirely sure. Should I order a new part or just use adhesive? I also don’t know what part number this is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that part, from a third party company, also requires a screw be inserted and tightened.

The handle’s screw is still there. The handle snapped off from the piece that is screwed in. I’m just confused because I see no adhesive on the black trim so not sure how it was attached before I put the handles in.

It’s a cheap aftermarket part. They break over time. The Mach E wasn’t designed to have a handle there.

I don’t think glue will hold. Maybe glue and baking powder mix.

:( ID-10-T error lord save us from our idiot friends. :)

id like the front door handle delete kit, but pics i saw of one install, it didnt match the lines of the existing trim and seemed like it would leak water into the door.

I know. I begged them for that until they came out with what they have. I didn’t buy one, and told them why. They said that they will work on a better one, but nothing yet.
What needs to happen is a replacement trim piece that’s the whole length of the window.
