Hi, Are there any non-hitch bike racks that I can use on my Mach-e? I had a Saris bike rack that I used on my other car but according to Saris, it is not recommended for the Mach-e. Not a fan of the suction cup racks. THANKS!

In the same boat. Used my Saris for years and tried to come up with a way for it work with the MME and could not.

I will ultimately probably go the hitch route, but there are solutions from Thule, Yakima that might work for you. I'm looking at those as well - they're just darned expensive.

I fold the rear seats and put the bike in the cargo space on a moving blanket.
My new bike is super light and this method worked just fine but it is still not as convenient as simply put the bike on some kind of external rack on the back of the car.

I don't want a roof rack because I'm worried about my pano glass. I also would like to be able to pull into my garage without having to remove my bike first.

There are two types of owners who carry bikes on rooftop racks.

Those that have driven into a garage/carport/drive-through, etc. with their bikes still on the roof
Those that will

It was bad enough ruining a bike doing this. I'd really hate to ruin a pano roof.

Exactly Mark!

After a quick web search and a trip to the Thule website, folding down the back seats seems to be the best option right now. Kind of annoyed with Ford for not considering the possibility of, if not towing, at least a bike rack. I get it. It's a Mustang, oooooh sporty but they made it a crossover and it is dubbed an SUV. I know the ground clearance sucks but there is still enough of a get out and go vibe to the vehicle.

The R2 is really becoming increasingly appealing.

Yes, I agree it would have been good of Ford to sell a hitch option but I understand them not doing so since the Mach E isn't tow rated in the US. There are lots of hitches from 3rd parties you can install or get installed.

Yah, I know but I'm more of a fan of using officially OEM sanctioned stuff. Color me funny that way.

Ford sells the roof rack from Thule and you can get a set from Thule. Anywhere actually. It's an official OEM product.
