To add an update.
Went to my service department and showed them proof in FRDS that they DID NOT attempt an update like I was told. They pulled up the SSM in Oasis and it seems it still holds the message stating the PCM update will not resolve this issue. Service department won’t move on this unless that SSM gets updated. Told them I see my PCM has an available update, and as this affects my power train, I want that updated. Told me they would do it, but warned me it could go wrong and result in a dead car.

It's just amazing what the profession(als) will say to the customer's face.
With a straight face.

I would have so much more respect for a technician that just said "I'm not an expert at this whole software update and can't promise that it will go smoothly. But I will certainly give it my best"

Total amateurs install the same exact updates in their driveway every day. By far, most updates installed with no drama if you simply follow the directions.

Fix expected in early May.
Has there been any update on the timeline, Lee?

I had this happen twice now. Happened within the first quarter mile of driving near my house.
Happened three times to me today. And I didn't get my HVJB replaced. Hopefully the fix will still be pushed OTA to me.

Curious whether you had them go ahead and do it anyway and whether it resolved the problem for you?

Didn’t have anything done yet. Switched to 2PD and just getting used to that. Will be taking it to dealer after a trip in June.

Mine developed the fault after the "stuck charging cord" update was applied to my '22. On several occasions I've only made it about 300' out of my garage before I get the 1PD fault. Fortunately it hasn't happened at a time when I'm actively trying to brake for traffic.

If you have powertrain updates showing in FDRS right now...those are the ones that fix the 1PD issue.

Assuming you had the problem, correct? I'm assuming it's not a rollback to prior versions?

I don’t think it’s a ‘rollback’ but even if it is…if the problem is fixed….great!

Ok. Just wondering if I should be getting a two-day FDRS license. FWIW, not having any 1PD issues.

If you’re not having problems then why spend the money?

With Ford's recent track record, I'm almost willing to hold off a month before having it fixed to see if they break something else with the newest "fix".

I've got 32k on my 2022 and am just getting a little anxious since Ford has already told one guy on the forum they won't fix something an OTA broke after the warranty expired on the vehicle.

No official change in status yet. It looks like the software is released, but there hasn't been an official TSB for the fix published yet.
How about now, a month later?

Just got the error for the first time, two months after the performed service. One drive became available after the restart of the car, so if it happens like that - once a couple of months with a quick restore, it's not too bad and isn't worth going to the dealer if an OTA is somewhere on the horizon.
