Anyone has used an extension cord to charge at Tesla supercharger using only one parking space and the adapter?

Slightly off topic, there are still many superchargers that don't yet support NACS adapter. I'm a but surprised. See evidence from Tesla map of Oregon (eyeballing here but approximately ~1/3 won't work).

Progress ground to a halt about the time Elon fired the charging team.

I'm not aware of any "extension cords" that have actually come to marker, are you?

Tesla NEVER stated they would open all locations to non-Teslas. They stated publicly 15K stations would be available to us and other EV manufacturers. I have brand new stations right next to my house that aren't open to use but along the highway in between major cities in Texas, they are all open and available to use. All the Buc-ees locations are available in Texas as are the routes that have limited CCS DCFC nearby. Nothing new or changed based on layoffs from what I can tell.

As someone who was DC fast charging almost daily when the Tesla Superchargers first were opened to us, there was a lot of action early on to open new SuperChargers. Some required software that could be remotely deployed, some required hands-on work at the sites.

When the first batch of Superchargers were opened, there were lots remaining unavailable. Tesla was steadily making progress on these. When Elon sacked the charging team in late April, that progress ground to a halt. I've seen limited progress to open Superchargers in May and June.

Like many seeing progress in adding additional stations for non-Tesla was great to see happening. I'm 100% convinced you are correct the layoffs impacted that activity. Publically they met the stated availability of chargers as originally agreed. I'm sure work to add and modify available chargers will continue just not at the same pace as before.

Yep, I got mine on Friday. I went down early in the morning to test it out. I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of all those Tesla drivers, so I had all 24 spots to myself. It worked perfectly. It took me a second to figure out how to remove my adapter from the charging cable.

Just got mine today, #6000s thanks Ford!

Interesting to compare the a2z version with the Ford. Both seem very well built, but focus build quality on different components.

a2z is slightly more compact, but noticeably heavier due to what seems like an all-metal exterior enclosure? Ford is slightly bigger, but much lighter in hand, with what seems to be abs plastic housing. If I had to pick which one would survive a drop, it’d be the a2z.

That being said, the reverse appears true for the locking mechanism. The a2z feels a bit cheap and plasticky, the Ford much more robust and metal-like. This is mainly noticeable on the side that plugs and locks into car.

Another interesting note is the a2z adapter has two extra pins going into the car. I’m guessing these are dummy pins for extra rigidity on the car side,. As long as they are just as rigid as the actual charging pins, I’m all for it.

I haven’t tested either yet, but I’m sure both will work just fine as per the numerous positive reviews for both adapters on this forum.

For now, I have the a2z stashed under the trunk floor in Farley’s cardboard box, and have the Ford in the a2z case up frunk (in case anyone was wondering if the Ford would fit in the a2z case). Still waiting for the a2z level 2 adapter as per paper note that arrived in its place with the dc adapter.

Anyone know if the factory nav will get Tesla stations added eventually? I can find them easily in the "Public Charging" app, but would be handy during route planning in the main nav app as well. Yes; I know about ABRP and how to use my phone for nav, but sometimes I like the simplicity of the factory nav. Except when it's too simple lol.

I got my Tesla adapter yesterday (order 3084) and just wanted to say "thank you" @Ford Motor Company!

Please direct all complaints to /dev/null and not this thread....
Hello,

Adapters have been delayed coming from Tesla. We have not ye received them. I am hoping they arrive in the next 6-7 days and we will ship out to customers ASAP. But to plan to receive the adapter by late June might be a bit aggressive.

I wish I could do more, but we’ve been waiting for Tesla to deliver adapters for Canadian orders for some time now.

According to the Ford site "Upgraded Tesla Superchargers will be added to Connected Built-In Navigation later in 2024."
