Malfunctions in the heat?

Up to me and shared that her car overheats in the summer in the Texas heat, and that this causes the console to malfunction.
Someone advised her to get tent and the glass and on the sunroof to prevent heat from getting into the car.
How does that sound to you guys? Have you heard this before?

It sounds like she is uninformed.

There is no reason to get tint on glass that is already treated. Virtually no heat comes in the roof.

I meant to write Tint.
I parked my car in the shade and under carport normally so it’s not just sitting in the sun so maybe that’s her problem

It’s not hot inside the car, but she did have me put my hand up on the roof and the roof felt hot.

But I didn’t feel a lot of transfer of heat.

I think I’m going to take a wait-and-see attitude because honestly like I don’t see why I would want to tint all my stuff.

Also, by tinting the roof, it it cracks due to being tinted, it won't be covered.

Indeed, that is what my wife and I did!
we had the MME tinted all the way around, including the windshield and back window.

That is why we went with EVInsulate: it provides a thermal barrier between the glass and the cabin.
In addition, EVInsulate, is a fantastic mod to have when the temperatures dip down below 30° ?

Our dealer has said it is OK to tint the windows the windshield and the back window.

I’m wondering how I’m going to get it installed because it’s a bit big of course and seems like it would take a professional or 3 people!
I knew there was something to this because when I placed my hand inside the MME premium sunroof glass. It was indeed extremely hot. ?
In our Austin, Texas home we had all of the glass double paned. Back then it was for the train noise.
meaning we installed basically entire windows inside the windows. This move not only does it completely cut out all the exterior noise. It also insulates from the heat and the cold.
I have to say the noise insulation is great because if there’s ever a barking dog or anyone playing loud music, we do not know anything about it!
So I’m a big fan of insulation and protection! Hence my name, ha!

They need to get the screen replaced, it's defective.

So far I have had no issues. The car cools off inside quick enough. Mine is always outside. It has been in the 90's lately. All the heat I feel from the sun is when it comes through the side windows or windshield. I cannot feel it from the roof. If I get up close to the roof it will be hot there since you are close to a hot surface since it is black.
