Hi Mustang Mach-E Owners –
We know if you are a 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E owner, who has a vehicle equipped with BlueCruise, you are eagerly awaiting the delivery of BlueCruise 1.3 to your vehicle. Our goal is to deliver customers quality products and services, and BlueCruise for hands-free highway driving is no exception.
Previously, we shared we were starting to roll out the software package to enable BlueCruise 1.3. This software update is complex. As we shared previously, it is a large package that requires several sequential updates to multiple system modules within the vehicle, and as a result takes multiple updates to successfully deliver the package. We made the decision to pause the rollout to meet the level of quality we strive for so that customers have the best experience possible with the newest version of BlueCruise.
Now, we are pleased to share that the final update to enable BlueCruise 1.3 is starting to roll out to customers starting with model year 2022 Mustang Mach-E. This will be a staggered rollout by model year. We will have more to share once deployment starts for additional model years.
Please be on the lookout for the software update labeled as: IPMA-24.204.8.27.
BlueCruise 1.3 is our latest version of software available to customers and helps you stay engaged in hands-free mode longer, including around curves and narrow lanes. It also builds on BlueCruise 1.2 which includes Lane Change Assist allowing you to change lanes by tapping the turn signal and once the path is clear and In-Lane Repositioning which helps keep the vehicle in its lane while subtly shifting position away from vehicles in adjacent lanes.
We want to thank you again for your patience. We can’t wait for you to experience these features and improved hands-free highway driving performance on your vehicle!
