Hi Mustang Mach-E Owners –

We know if you are a 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E owner, who has a vehicle equipped with BlueCruise, you are eagerly awaiting the delivery of BlueCruise 1.3 to your vehicle. Our goal is to deliver customers quality products and services, and BlueCruise for hands-free highway driving is no exception.

Previously, we shared we were starting to roll out the software package to enable BlueCruise 1.3. This software update is complex. As we shared previously, it is a large package that requires several sequential updates to multiple system modules within the vehicle, and as a result takes multiple updates to successfully deliver the package. We made the decision to pause the rollout to meet the level of quality we strive for so that customers have the best experience possible with the newest version of BlueCruise.

Now, we are pleased to share that the final update to enable BlueCruise 1.3 is starting to roll out to customers starting with model year 2022 Mustang Mach-E. This will be a staggered rollout by model year. We will have more to share once deployment starts for additional model years.

Please be on the lookout for the software update labeled as: IPMA-24.204.8.27.

BlueCruise 1.3 is our latest version of software available to customers and helps you stay engaged in hands-free mode longer, including around curves and narrow lanes. It also builds on BlueCruise 1.2 which includes Lane Change Assist allowing you to change lanes by tapping the turn signal and once the path is clear and In-Lane Repositioning which helps keep the vehicle in its lane while subtly shifting position away from vehicles in adjacent lanes.

We want to thank you again for your patience. We can’t wait for you to experience these features and improved hands-free highway driving performance on your vehicle!

I know you're not going to answer, but I'm going to ask this anyway. Why not inform your customers about the pause to the rollout when it actually happened instead of leaving them guessing for a year?

What happened to BlueCruise 1.4?

Nothing for MY21?

I don't think I will get it before my 3 year subscription expires, and I don't think I will get an extension for the first 6 months when it didn't work on my car. If I used it a lot I would be pretty upset ?

In case you haven't noticed from the dozen or so threads, we are already aware that it's rolling out to 2022's. As your information seems to be somewhat behind, it's already started rolling out to 2023's also.

Please inform your superiors that you should be allowed to share information that's accurate and current, instead of information that's a couple weeks stale.

Thank you for being the best part of.. oh, wait.. nevermind.

My car is a 23.5, mid July ‘23 build. Premium trim. I just looked at the window sticker. It says that Bluecruise 1.3 (90 day trial) is standard equipment on the car.

I also received the notice on the car’s center display that it is scheduled for a BC update tonight. The wording of the notice, which also appesrs in ford.com on my dashboard, is a bit confusing to me. Trying to parse the language, it looks to me as if a car came with 1.2 it will get 1.3. Also describes under a separate heading reading “BlueCruise 1.3 (equipped vehicles only)” features/enhancements of 1.3. What is described seems to be more or less what my car did when in BC when I was experimenting with it during the trial.

At the moment my attempt to reconcile the update statements I received with the statement the car came with 1.3 standard is leading me to think that perhaps 1.3 update has been tweaked compared to 1.3 as it may have existed a year ago. I suppose other possibilities may exist. We shall see what happens.

I got mine yesterday and will try it on my next drive on the freeway. I’m hoping the “curves” will be much better and a little less ping pong (23 GT)

It's nice to read. In Germany, BC has been announced since 2023 and there is nothing except new vehicles!
