Second batch of NACS adapters are shipping out

I sent them an email yesterday, business day 11, and they very quickly replied and said it was shipping same day.

Sure enough I received notice from UPS and they actually overnighted it (at no additional cost) even though I said I really only wanted to make sure that it arrived by month end.

I should have an adapter in my hands when I get home from work tonight.

Honestly, I’m scratching my head a bit with Ford and Elon. Big announcement on 2/29, hand the adapters to YouTubers, get us all excited and then drop the ball.

It kind of feels like the kid that brings in birthday cupcakes, but, only for a few kids in the class.

I don't think Ford dropped the ball, from the reports we have it is a problem with Tesla getting them to Ford.

We bought the A2Z and couldn't get it to lock onto any Supercharger plugs (we tried multiple plugs at three different stations, both V3 and V4 cabinets) and had to return it...so I've just ordered the Lectron. We'll see...

Does anyone know a class action lawyer? Or are you one? There must be a case against Ford for unreasonable delays in keeping every major promise they made to us buyers. From the upgrade to Blue Cruise 1.3 to the free NACS adapter, Ford has failed to deliver, often until our leases or subscriptions expired. If A2Z can deliver in 2 or 3 weeks, and any high school techy could push out an upgrade, there is no valid reason for Ford's breaches. After all it's not like Ford sold so many EV's that it's unable to cope after a century of producing millions of vehicles.

While Ford is no angel, I doubt there's a case against them for the delays on the adapter or even the slow pace of releasing OTA's.

Of course, I'm not a lawyer and this isn't a legal advice forum. For legal advice, you should contact an actual lawyer and talk to them.

So you want to sue, for the delay in a free item?
and you want to sue, because the product you willingly bought, is they same as when you bought it?

That would be a very small number of people, given the adaptors were only offered a few months ago. So most of us bought the car with no idea if there would ever be a free adaptor.
When ordering, did it give a contractually stipulated delivery date, or did it say something like "when available" when you signed up for the adapter?

Do you have a contract that stipulates when the updates would happen? or what they would contain? I know I have gotten a few in my time owning the car, so I have gotten updates. They may not be the updates you want, but updates nonetheless.

And who promised you? Was it in your contract? was it some yahoo at a privately owned dealership?

actually, Ford media announced in May of last year their EV’s would have Tesla adapters. As far as ‘contract’ and ‘stipulates’, the Mach-e brochure boasts OTA updates.

The easier thing to do is complain to Jim Farley than finding a lawyer to sue him. He needs to email Elon Musk again. Remember the Second Batch was released after Farley emailed to Musk about the delay. Maybe it will work again.
Or, at least give us a valid explanation about why things have failed. Who is supposed to be actually making these adapters? Why are they not delivering? Did their factory burn, was flooded or something else? Did ICE round up their workers? Are the workers on strike? Did the owners take the money and run for Rio?
