BlueCruise 1.3 Software Rollout Update

In my opinion, if this OTA version of the update isn't far more stable than 1.0, then there's something very different about it and the 1.3 that shipped with my GTPE, and the 1.4 (supposedly) that has been in my F150 for 6 months.

Both are/were solid, with the nod going to the truck though.

And from the reports of missing Sync options and other strange results, I'd suspect Ford has some clean-up updates coming down the pipe.

I'm glad the 22's and 23's got to be the guinea pigs on this one. Since I'm now out of warranty I would have been screwed with a broken car.

Gosh, I wonder if that's one of the reasons they started with newer cars...

Mine was due to a hash mismatch - server problem on ford’s side, nothing I could’ve done about it.

I don't have FDRS, what exactly does this mean? Did you determine this yourself, through FDRS or the dealer? Is there a fix? Same thing for me but car just went out of warranty.

I'm not sure why or if 2022s, and beyond require different software than 2021s

There are hardware differences.

before I decide to pay the $600-for-3-year deal.

That deal is pretty much gone at this point.

I don't have FDRS either - a forum member used PTS to look it up for me. Hash mismatch means the file my car got didn't match the file on the Ford servers, it got corrupted in transit somehow, so my car didn't install it. Could've been a problem with my car, I guess, but I was advised it was a server problem.

Mine also updated just fine and POOF....no more BC ! What is odd is 6 days ago (prior to update) I engaged it briefly at a steady 55 and it held for 10 seconds and shut off. That evening the update came though...installed without issue and now nothing....same screen as above....March 2022 build GTPE...all recent updates have installed without issue. I tried the sync reset....no wonder why this 1.3 update was held back for so long!

Have you found any info as to when this will/would remedy itself.
Anybody else have same issue that resolved on it's own? Anybody else able to proactively "fix" this without having FDRS?

No clue, unfortunately. The consensus seems to be to wait it out and you’ll get whatever incomplete update sent to your car again later.

Is this true with job 2 21s considering the 21 gt was out same time as 22 non gt

I imagine that discounted offer is fenced for certain build dates.

It's some Ford love thrown at the very same folks that some feel Ford has disdain.

They can purchase for $600 what Ford wants $2400 from us poor 2023.5 black sheep. ??
