Anyone found how to buy the $995 GT performance upgrade available OTA for the 2024s? This bumps the car from 600 to 700 Lb-Ft. I’ve had no luck, including calling Ford.

Me also. It’s not there (yet). I suspect there is an update needed to unlock it in connected services.

Have you contacted your dealer? May not be an OTA.

I don’t own a Mach-E (yet), but this is something I’ve been very interested in. Unfortunately, none of the Ford salespeople I’ve spoken to know anything about it. I think I’ve visited 6 dealerships now. Two salesmen told me the performance edition was something that only came with the car, so I would have to purchase a Mach-E GTPE to get it. Most said that it’s not available as a OTA update. One said I can download a hack to get it installed on a regular GT but it would void my warranty (won’t be going back to that guy). One told me I would have to talk to the service department to get my answer. One told me that Ford does not provide them with that information. The one I visited on Saturday said that the Ford EV trainer had just been there this week and never mentioned anything like this. I did find some info about this on the Mach-E Vlog YouTube channel in a video they released almost two months ago (May 28th). They were among other Mach-E YouTube influencers who were invited and attended a review of the mid-year Mach-E refresh (I’ve seen similar videos from other YouTubers who attended the same event). At about 4m40s into this video, they show a banner that appears on the Mach-E image that appears on the Whisper/Engage/Unbridle screens that provides the customer with information on how to get the “GT Acceleration Enhancement”. However, like I said, I’ve been to I think six Ford dealerships so far in my area and none of the GTs I’ve sat in show this banner. So this is why I’m still asking questions about how this works. Since I don’t own a Mach-E (or any Ford currently) I don’t have access to the app or any other mechanisms to investigate for myself. I’m hoping someone here has a definitive answer.

I wouldn't trust Ford for anything that required to be downloaded OTA... So far, their track record with OTA's is complete crap.

Right on. That’s exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve heard elsewhere it will show up in connected services for purchase around 7/29/2024. Thanks for the video link, very precise.

Hi All, this is my first post to the forum. On July 6th we took delivery of a Star White Metallic Tri-coat 2024 MME GT including the performance upgrade for $995. The upgrade hasn't happened yet, but, the dealer says that it will "... in a month or so...". They indicated I will need bring the car back into the dealership in order for them to connect it to their computer for the upgrade. I've asked again for an update, and I will post about this when I know more...

Great update. Makes me feel better going into the purchase of my GT.

So it's sounding like once the software becomes available, once a 2024+ GT owner has paid their $995 upgrade fee, a series of powertrain updates will become available via FDRS. It'll be interesting to see someone purchase a GT without the upgrade, pay the upgrade fee, then plug into their FDRS rig to do the upgrade themselves. ??

I think it might be even more interesting to see someone purchase a '24 GT, _not_ pay for the upgrade, and still try to install it themselves via FDRS (or via ForScan.)

probably had a dozen or more otas between my 21 and 23s, zero issues. I've had three in the last 24 hrs. I was surprised the second one stated the car would be unavailable for fifty minutes which is the longest OTA time I recall seeing.

so I haven't looked, can you pay the upgrade fee when you order the car? Not that I'm in the market for a 24.

That's great... for you. I still wouldn't trust Ford's OTA system. That's why I bought a mongoose and power supply.
