I have to transport a case of COLD champagne in a few days. How many pounds of ice would you think to fill 3/4 of the frunk?

I don't know, but I wanted to reply to ask that you PLEASE take and post a photo of it (with the champagne/ice in it)I have to transport a case of COLD champagne in a few days. How many pounds of ice would you think to fill 3/4 of the frunk?
I’ll try and remember!I don't know, but I wanted to reply to ask that you PLEASE take and post a photo of it (with the champagne/ice in it)
Sounds right. I usually get 4 20 lb bags of ice when I'm hauling groceries from Safeway in Kona to home (45 miles or so). That fills it not quite halfway.Google says:
The frunk is 4.7 cu ft
1 Cubic Ft. of Ice = 57.2 Lbs.
So 3/4 frunk is about 3.5 cu ft,
so about 200 lbs.
I recommend you use some foam or empty boxes as filler.
Expect to leave a dribble trail as you drive down the road.
I’m not that old I dribble ?Google says:

It is legal. At least in California where I took the CDL test 54 years ago. Two things are legally allowed to fall from a moving vehicle…… Clear water and feathers from live birds.Sounds right. Oh my. I remember those questions and we haven’t lived in California for 25 years. It is legal. At least in California where I took the CDL test 54 years ago. Two things are legally allowed to fall from a moving vehicle…… Clear water and feathers from live birds.
I lived in California for 52 years, left when we retired 20 years ago.Oh my. I remember those questions and we haven’t lived in California for 25 years.
I used to have to drive 99 between the Bay Area and Fresno. Chicken feathers flying from trucks were a real thing near Livingston where Foster Farms was headquartered.I lived in California for 52 years, left when we retired 20 years ago.
that answer was so ridiculous that it has stuck in my mind since 1970.
We put 2 20lb. bags of ice in the frunk and it didn't last very long on a hot desert day. It was pretty much gone within 90 miles on a 110° run to Las Vegas. Even when it's cool the frunk gets pretty warm. Be prepared to do refills if you want to keep the anything cold up front.I have to transport a case of COLD champagne in a few days. My concern was always “Who defines clear water?” Because most liquids I see drizzling out of trucks don’t match my definition.I used to have to drive 99 between the Bay Area and Fresno. Chicken feathers flying from trucks were a real thing near Livingston where Foster Farms was headquartered.
You're around Lynnwood, right? Get 2-3 40lb bags from Business Costco for ~$5 each and I reckon that'd do. As others have stated, a cooler in the trunk would be more economical, but if you have an affinity for flair, nothing beats the frunk reveal.I have to transport a case of COLD champagne in a few days.
