I don't want to laugh, but I will. If they did really pull the update.

Yes the J1's get the $600 for 3 years. We've also got the shittiest most troublesome BC released, which is worth about 25%, as BC 1.0 works about 25% as well as BC 1.2. My BC 1.2 now stays in HF much more and actually engages when i click the button. As opposed to BC 1.0 where I'd hit the button and it might think about going HF after a couple miles, or just not at all that drive then kick out after a few miles if it did work.

No, unfortunately. I called Ford tech support just today in fact to ask about it. They said it means that Ford pulled the update, but they don’t know why. And that it will be re-released sometime in the future ??‍♂
My wife's car has had the same screen for a month.

Has the rollout been stopped again? I seemed like they were rolling out quite well to the ‘22 and ‘23 models and there was even one forum member with a ‘21 that received an updated but it’s been radio silence for a little while now. @Ford Motor Company any updates?

Some people have been locked out of their cars after the update, so my uninformed wild guess is that it will be months before it starts rolling out again.

Yes, definitely that would be worth a chuckle.

But also troubling for Ford owners. This update was supposed to be imminent a year ago. I mean literally a full year. They took a year to get it ready, and it still failed? And now they may need an additional unspecified number of months or years to actually get it right? Along with the dozens of other software update fails that the Mach-E has experienced, it does make me reconsider whether I want to keep my Mustang. Ford Options deal is I can just let Ford have it back next year...

Hi Mustang Mach-E Owners –

We know if you are a 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E owner, who has a vehicle equipped with BlueCruise, you are eagerly awaiting the delivery of BlueCruise 1.3 to your vehicle. Our goal is to deliver customers quality products and services, and BlueCruise for hands-free highway driving is no exception.

Previously, we shared we were starting to roll out the software package to enable BlueCruise 1.3. This software update is complex. As we shared previously, it is a large package that requires several sequential updates to multiple system modules within the vehicle, and as a result takes multiple updates to successfully deliver the package. We made the decision to pause the rollout to meet the level of quality we strive for so that customers have the best experience possible with the newest version of BlueCruise.

Now, we are pleased to share that the final update to enable BlueCruise 1.3 is starting to roll out to customers starting with model year 2022 Mustang Mach-E. This will be a staggered rollout by model year. We will have more to share once deployment starts for additional model years.

Please be on the lookout for the software update labeled as: IPMA-24.204.8.27.

BlueCruise 1.3 is our latest version of software available to customers and helps you stay engaged in hands-free mode longer, including around curves and narrow lanes. It also builds on BlueCruise 1.2 which includes Lane Change Assist allowing you to change lanes by tapping the turn signal and once the path is clear and In-Lane Repositioning which helps keep the vehicle in its lane while subtly shifting position away from vehicles in adjacent lanes.

We want to thank you again for your patience. We can’t wait for you to experience these features and improved hands-free highway driving performance on your vehicle!
On Friday, BlueCruise 1.2 took us down I-96 through construction zones, hard rain, and heavy truck traffic with no problems whatsoever. Automatic lanes changes were perfect! Please post if you have direct experience regarding what BC 1.3 actually improves over BC 1.2.

Thanks in advance!

Rollout is still ongoing (at least from what I can see). I know someone with a 2023 that just received the update on Friday.

The “not completed” message usually just means there was a failure on the server side and Ford will need to re-send the update to your car. They are likely waiting for the existing rollout phase to complete before they issue a new one.

They also likely put priority on fixing the lockout issue for 2023s, for which the update fix went out late last week.

IPMA and PSCM updates are all still available in FDRS so dealerships could get you on BC 1.3 by manually installing it. Of course, you would have to convince them to do that, but it is possible.

2023 GT w/BC 1.2 presently updating to Blue Cruise 1.3. The update message indicated a 50 minute process.

Update: Blue Cruise 1.3 installed flawlessly.

Predictive speed being tied to turns in the road is a real PITA! If ford can’t add an off switch for the turn speed reduction it should just be eliminated. Having your vehicle suddenly slow down on a highway designed for 55 mph on every turn creates a hazard for other drivers and eventually a lawsuit for Ford. If there are any unexpected debris on the road this feature will definitely cause a loss of control. I have also had the system predict many turns that do not exist!

6 months of cricket noises. That is all my Mach-E hears from Ford servers.

I am not subscribed for BC and have a 2023.5. Do you think they will update my BC OTA anyway?
