A number of service actions have been resumed following a 3-week pause. As of today, software updates can again proceed. The programs resumed are:
  • 23B50 - Certain 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E, 2022-2023 E-Transit, And 2023 F-150 Lightning Vehicles - Charge Cord Stuck - Reprogram Battery Charge Control Module
  • 24P16 - Certain 2023 Mustang Mach-E Vehicles - 12 Volt (12V) Battery Test And Remote Climate Control Module (RCCM) Reset
  • 24B17 - Certain 2024 Mustang Mach-E Vehicles - Reprogram Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Module (SOBDM)
  • 24U08 - Certain 2024 Mustang Mach-E Vehicles - Powertrain Control Module Software Update
If your dealer told you they could not do one of these service campaigns because they were on hold, you can call and get them scheduled again.

In regards to the 2023-2024 lockout issues, the fix is now available unofficially in FDRS (GWM update -FAT) and is rolling out via the ECG-24.2.4.10 OTA. There is still not a published TSB for the lockout issue yet, so dealers will not be able to perform the update fix quite yet unless your vehicle is in for being bricked. Hopefully the TSB comes out in the next few weeks to allow that, in the meantime maybe you'll get the OTA first.

Thanks for the scoop.

I had 23B50 done in April, and have had 1 Pedal Drive faults ever since. My Recalls and CSPs page on ford.com still shows 23B50 is available for my car, however. I'm wondering whether I should have them do it again, now that they have presumably/hopefully fixed the CSP so that it does not cause drive faults.

In the meantime, I did get 24B42 done last week, the recent PCM Coordinated Software Update. I was hoping that would fix the 1 Pedal Drive faults, but dealer service guy said probably not - Ford would have said so if that were the case. I guess I'll ask them what they advise now that 23B50 is active again.

Thanks. Mine is a 23.5. At dealer w/ 12v drain warning, and for annual state safety inspection. Dealer awaiting direction from Ford. Is one or more of these the 12v drain fix (24 P16?)? Thanks again.

23B50 on hold? I had the HVBJB recall done two weeks ago and 23B50. Repair date of August 9th. No sure what the"certain cars" refers to.

I had 23B50 done in June 2023 and have had really slow charging ever since. After waiting well over a year I think I may hold off a bit longer to see what this version of the famous 6 module firmware's does and then pick the worst of two evils. I may have picked the 1PD fault over the really slow charging but never had that chance. Let us know how it works out if you are intending to be a beta tester again. ;)

My dealer repeatedly said 23B50 was on hold. I got around it by trading my 21 for a 24 :)

Yes. My dealer told me it was still on hold last week. This was August 15.

Apparently the "hold" was not entirely effective... ;)

If you got the same version of 23B50 that I got a few weeks ago, you may start getting occasional 1 Pedal Drive failures, as I did (along with many others).

Perhaps you got newer, less defective software. But since your repair date was 10 days before the pause on these updates was ended, I don't know what the chances are. You might want to keep an eye on that. Good luck.

I normally do not use 1 pedal drive. Will keep it in thought.

the dealer is telling me that although my car falls within the date-span for CSP 24 P16, Ford tells them, the dealer, that my serial number is not among affected vehicles.

Does that story pass the smell test or sound like it’s direct from the Blarney Stone?

thanks

Yes, you can check if your vehicle has any service campaigns yourself by looking in the Service section of FordPass. If you don't see anything, then there's nothing to do. It goes by VIN not by date.
