Continue using ford mobile charger or buy a wall charger?

I've been using included Ford Mobile charger (32A) to charge Mach-E for the last 18 month.
It was ok, once in a while it turns amber, meaning some power throttling. I typically fix it by replugging.

Should I expect it will die soon and install a wall charger? Or is it ok to use more?

I see a good price for Wallbox Pulsar Plus 40-amp EV ($250), and I am thinking of switching.

If it’s throttling, it’s on its way out. Whether you get a better portable or a wall-mounted unit is up to you, but I would vote to replace it before it dies completely on you. ??

Jump on the cheap Wallbox before Fisker runs out. If you don’t already have a good wall unit, it’s a no-brainer.

...my personal opinion, purchase a wall charger. Even more so if you plan to continue using/owning an EV going forward. To me, it just makes sense.

I have 2 JuiceBox 40s installed in the garage. I’ve had one of them for 5 years now. They have been solid. I wouldn’t want to chance it with a cheap one since it’s my fueling source.

I have four Ford chargers that I will never use because the are bound to fail (they will be used with the trade in). I just replaced my junk Lectron with a Grizzl-E mini 40amp portable, it came with every adapter I will ever need, and it’s been working great for the last 3 months.

I had the same problem. Per dealership it’s under an etymology warranty.

I had the same question when I first got the car. Started using the mobile charger, which worked fine, but then decided on the Juice Box 40 as more concerns were expressed on this forum about the mobile charger. The Juice Box 40 has worked flawlessly for almost two years and the mobile charger is in the trunk as back-up.

I used the Ford Mobile Charger for about 8 months until it became flaky and then decided to buy a GrizzlE. No longer have the MachE but I still use the GrizzlE to charge our Outlander PHEV. It has been working well for the past 2 years!!

All warranty issues are through a dealership, none through Ford corporate.
