Came up to a light with an SF90. It sucks the audio didn’t get recorded. We chatted and agreed on going on green. I think he underestimated the MME and got on it a bit late.

I slowed down for the car in front of me, but he stayed in it and almost wrecked his $500K car. ?

I remember growing up around the local drag race track that if you broke 11 seconds in the 1/4, you had to have a helmet, race suit, 5-point harness and a roll cage. Now we do it from a red light in street clothes.

At most of the 1/4 mile tracks I used to go to it you broke into the 12s you needed a helmet and a roll bar, with all of the other stuff in the 11s or quicker. There were a lot of guys with 13.0x time slips and 80mph trap speeds. ??

you guys don't remember very well. All NHRA and most other tracks require a helmet at 13.99 and faster. Been this way for 30-40 years. Roll bar used to be at 10.99, then 10.49, now at 9.99 for newer cars since there are so many 10 second and faster new cars.

And we not only shrug it off, but we rant about the 2 or 3 tenths that are being sandbagged by the manufacturer. ?

I don’t think he underestimated you, looks more like he was sleeping at the light.

But then again, you both got treed by that white work truck. ?

I got to do 3 laps in a Ferrari 296 GTB this year. It’s a dead heat with that SF90.

Both run 9s in the 1/4 mile at 150 mph plus.

Only driver error could make our cars even look like we are in the same league.

The left turn lane with the work truck in it was already green. You can see our light.
Anyway. I don’t know if it was driver error or he thought the MME was not that quick.
His car has 1000hp and does 0-60 in 2.5 secs. But this time it took him a while to catch up.

I would think you beat him to 40 mph, unless he knows how to drive and takes it seriously. We don't have to know how to drive.

Would have been hilarious to see him crash. Better luck next time!
