Where to sell a MachE?

I have decided to sell my MachE, but I am a bit stumped on how to go about it.
Cargurus used to let you put a private sale listing up, but apparently they ended that option.

Of course I listed it in the forum on this site

Where else would you post a car for private sale these days?

My listing on cars.com has not gotten any serious inquiries and I believe it's priced right.

I would list it on every free site. I also listed on Autotrader.com. Cars.com, etc. Craigslist also. Facebook - but you lose anonymity. https://www.facebook.com/groups/mustangmacheforsalebyowner/

The tough part is find a serious buyer. I had one, but the wife nixed it. Had another, but the husband nixed it. Many dealer inquiries at stupid prices.

Today it's a tough sell because of the leasing offers, for any knowledgeable buyer.

Facebook Marketplace has been my go-to for a few years now. It has supplanted Craigslist as the dominant free classifieds site. You see everything from $100K to $1K vehicles for sale there.

Maybe your price is too high? You could try the online companies like Driveway to get an online quote to get an idea of wholesale and price accordingly if you can.

Of all the online private sales sites (Vroom, CarMax, Carvana, Edmunds, etc), I have found Driveway was the best (highest offer).

Luckily, I am about 30 minutes away from a Driveway store and drove it there.
They honored the original offer, upped it by $200 for driving it in and another $100 for selling the first time.

Money was in the bank account in less than 24 hours.

Very easy.

As a curiosity, why are you selling your Mach-E?
Thinking about the same lately, specially after the massive depreciation and the several recalls and issues I had with the car (HVBJB and SOBDM)

I also had higher offers on Driveway. Sold a Bronco and a Mach-e through Driveway with good experiences, however, it was a much different car market then. FB marketplace, and similar private sales options, aren’t great with a limited Midwest EV market.

I have been on the waitlist for another new car, and that car has now been built and I will pick it up soon.
I've been incredibly happy with the MachE. Never any problems and this forum has been the greatest companion to the vehicle -- so many knowledgeable and helpful people on here and I will miss having that.

I agree, I had a successful car sale on FB. I feel like Craigs has been going downhill for some time now.

2025 Taycan 4S

I wanted a performance sedan without a glass roof, and the mass market seems to be completely focused on SUVs with glass roofs for some reason.

If you think the Mach E depreciates alot, Taycans depreciate like an anvil in a sea. Better value going used. Although I think the 2025 model has some improvements.

Haha, yes anvil in the ocean is about the right analogy for Taycan depreciation. That's one of the reasons I only went 4S instead of the higher trims. It's plenty fast and I'll keep it for 4-5 yrs, so I'm not super focused on resale yet.
