I went into my garage about a week ago and saw this
Ford Mustang Mach-E Puddle LAMPS project when mirrors are out (was: I never noticed the floor projection before!) 1000006353

This is a 22 GT. Has it been doing this all along and I never noticed? I laughed out loud because of course I would be oblivious to this for the 2+ years I've owned the car.

Awesome

While it doesn't add to the core features of the car, it's one of those nice things you notice on day 2 or 3 after bringing the car home.

Or day 883...

I believe the ones made in China actually gallop.

Did you recently change the setting to fold the mirrors? That only shows up when the mirrors are folded

Something is off about yours. It’s usually parallel to the car.
I never fold in the mirrors, and I haven't changed that setting - like, ever.

2 weeks ago I didn't know this even existed, and now I know why - it's not supposed to show with the mirrors out, but that is what is happening.

should be parallel to the car. Is it me or is it angled?
Right - this is a bug. It's supposed to be activated only when the mirrors are folded, but mine are not. Either the feature changed or it's not working as expected.

Edit: I also learned today that these are called "puddle lights". This is the first car I bought where I actually cared about all the features. I was never a "car guy" so I'm sure there's a lot I've missed.

Yes, they’re called “Puddle Lamps.” They’re a cute cosmetic addition. Personally, I am still waiting for my Poodle Lamps. ??

EDIT: I would not mind if this bug presented itself in my car. ??

His "puddle light pony" is at an angle because it appears to be coming on WITHOUT his mirrors folded. I believe the "by design" operation is to only show the "puddle light pony" when the mirror is folded - which would show it parallel to the car.

Honestly, I'm quite happy to see this, even if it's not "supposed" to happen like this. I'll just take it as a happy accident. It is funny that there are older threads about this feature not working at all, and mine just sort of turns on all of its own accord without even trying.
