Ford Power Promise: Your Electric Journey, Enhanced

Does the offer of installing a home charger replace having free charging at EA? Do you have a choice of one or the other since some of you live in condos, apartments or rented homes?

That offer ended June 1st.

Anecdotally I've heard that so many carmakers gave out "free" EA that the chargers have long wait times in some areas.

This is a great new program. Providing and installing home chargers is much better than free DC Fast Charging.

How long until the posts from existing owners that are mad that they aren't going to get the free charger and installation?

As someone who is deciding on when to buy a Mach E, this is fabulous news. Takes all the guesswork and research out of figuring out who to have install the charger, which charger to purchase, etc. I wonder if the current 0% financing option will continue through October as well...

rebates and programs will be updated in October to accommodate, my guess is they will be going backwards in some way

• Ongoing Support and Guidance:
  • New 24/7 Live Support: We're expanding ‘round-the-clock live support, including proactive charging assistance. Text a dedicated Ford advisor for 24/7 electric vehicle support - you'll be talking to real people. Simply opt-in to Ford’s Electric Vehicle 24/7 Live Support services on owner.ford.com if you’d like to use the feature.
  • Improved Ford Roadside Assistance: Ford Roadside Assistance will pick customers up and take them to the closest charging station or dealership if range runs too low. Available for both Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning owners. For more information on how to use this feature, please visit Ford’s Roadside Assistance page.

For New Ford Electric Vehicle Owners this also includes:

• Home is Where the Charge Is:
  • New complimentary home charger & standard installation: Starting October 1st, 2024, customers purchasing or leasing a new Ford electric vehicle will receive a complimentary Ford Charge Station Pro and standard installation at their home, helping to take the guesswork out of installation costs. What Else?

We’re constantly updating our existing programs with software, and hardware, to expand access and make them even better. Here are some items included in the Ford Power Promise that you may already be familiar with:

• Charging On-The Go:
  • The Blue Oval Charge Network now includes 28,000 fast chargers, with more being added every week.
  • Finding public charging options using Connected Built-In Navigation, Apple EV Routing via CarPlay®, and soon, Google Maps EV Routing via Android Auto™.
    • Plug & Charge, when enabled, allows customers to fill up by simply plugging in – this automatic activation and payment feature is currently available at Electrify America, and at Tesla Supercharger locations compatible with Ford electric vehicles using an adapter.
  • Easy access for mapping to the nearest charger, anticipated battery range, and up-to-date charge pricing using the recently updated FordPass® App.
• Battery Confidence:
  • Ford electric vehicles come with an eight-year/100k mile high-voltage battery warranty.

Most manufacturers change offers every month.

If you lease a Mach-E in September Ford is offering a .001 Money Factor (equivalent to 2.4% interest rate), the Federal $7500, and $2100 from Ford itself. Plus $1500 if you own a Tesla, and all their normal offers to affinity groups.

Maybe I'll check back in October to see what changes.

LOL.... I took delivery of my new car 2 weeks ago........ not eligible... SIGH

Four weeks ago for us. But we got 0% financing which isn't available any more as far as I know. ( may be wrong about that). Total money benefit for 0% financing is much more than a free charger (I already have one anyways) so I'm happy.

This is great news! Is there any update on the Android Auto EV Routing? The links point to the announcements at CES 2024 on January 9th. It said "later this year". I haven't heard anything since. I wonder if it's still on track for 2024.

Thinking about this a little more, I think the Supercharger Network with Plug&Charge plus the adapter, an EV Routing our our favorite navigation app, even better if that comes with the battery pre-conditioning integration that only the built-in navigation has, would make the Mach-E a more reliable and convenient road tripper. Charging won't ever be the fastest, but I have no problem spending 30 minutes on a location to charge the car and myself.
