Ford Sync App keeps trying to charge the car

So I noticed something weird on my wife’s car today. Came home today and started hearing clicking noises coming from the Ford mobile charger with with blue and an amber dot light so I checked the app. The app is showing the car looping through “starting charging”, “charging by” and “waiting to charging”. I’ve never seen this before, is the charger on its way out? Car just updated a few nights ago.

Nothing I can point to; at 10 pm (the normal charge start time) the car started changing as expected and stopped overnight at 80%. I can't point to a specific remedy..it just sort of resolved itself in a few hours. This is why i speculate it might have been something on the Ford side as opposed to the car proper.

from my experience it happens to me with my ChargePoint home charger. I had to disable the fordPass charge schedule and keep only ChargePoint Schedule that syncs with my electricity provider.

conflicting schedules must be an issue.

Interesting- I do just the opposite; set the schedule in the Ford app and have the ChargePoint schedule disabled.

I have the Ford Mobile charger so charging schedule is done through the app and I don’t have a conflict. I think my issue might be the Ford App. Car is charging fine now. I’ll check again tomorrow. Also had issues with the app connecting to the car. Ford servers must be having issues.

I’ve had it happen before, I just turned off my schedule charge and let it charge up. Then turned my schedule back on and it hasn’t happened again.

Removed the charging schedules and added them again and all is good. I swear every update does something bad.

I've had this issue before too. If the PAAK connects to the car while plugged in, it toggles the charging to start even when it's not scheduled. But then immediately stops, and it shows nonsense for the charging message in the app (e.g. it will show a time in the past when it is scheduled to start charging).

I had a lot of weird behavour like this that I couldn't figure out. I finally figured it out because I was in the garage working on something one evening, and my charger (Tesla UWC) was making a repeated clicking sound and turning on and off. I finally figured out that turning off Bluetooth on my phone stopped this.

I've learned to turn off Bluetooth on my phone (or otherwise make sure my PAAK doesn't connect to the car) after plugging in to my L2 charger.
