Thought I'd kick off a thread for any of ya'll that are participating in DriveElectricWeek.org events around the country this year. I'll start it off with a couple pix from the event in Taos, NM on Saturday 9/28/2024.
First, we had a great drive up from Santa Fe to Taos, taking the 'High Road' through the mountains. Didn't stop for foliage pictures, but had a great drive up...
I got set up next to a buddy that is just finishing up a DIY conversion on a Porsche 928... and I set up my V2L demonstration; exporting power to my portable inverter and inductive cooktop to cook some Bratwursts for lunch during the show. I also had my hatch tent deployed with the mattress in the back, but never did have a chance for a nap.
...and I thought I'd take a picture of my Poster as well. It's a lot of information, but people were VERY interested to learn that EVs can be more than just Transportation. I was the only one there talking at all about V2L to export power for 'Glamping', off-grid job-sites, emergency power during Grid outages, and looking toward the day when we will use our EVs to charge whever they are parked during the day under solar carports at work/school, and run our homes through the night.
