My partner took the Mustang in for the HVBJB recall work. A few hours later they tell her it's done... Huh?

That's what is blowing everyone's minds: that a service rep didn't even know that. To be fair to them, the recall instructions say (paraphrased) "if applicable, warn the customer that the transmission may need to relearn their driving habits."
That phrase is likely automatically put on the sheet when there is a PCM update (part of the service). On ICE vehicles, the PCM controls the transmission shifting and the adaptive strategy takes a day or two to re-learn the shift pressures and timing after an update. The software may not be able to remove that phrase for EVs, or they just didn't care to remove it. They have to warn customers about post-update shifting behavior all day long so it's probably just habit.

Nothing wrong with the Bolt (Not a joke, there is no punchline).

My Mach-e is 44 months old. Nary an issue that wasn’t owner induced. I do, however, generally try to remember not to shift from drive into reverse unless stopped. That might explain part of it. ;)
"nothing wrong with the Bolt" is the understatement of all time. Best vehicle I ever owned and GM ever built. Until I bought the Bolt, considering GMs lousy track record, such a statement would never have been made by me, or anyone for that matter (best or good are not a part of GM vernacular).
Owned and been associated with a lot of vehicles in the past 50+ years, including some GM products.

Aside from when they had to recall every single unit they had built to replace battery packs that could spontaneously combust.

I remember because GM bought back mine under the Lemon Law after they announced the recall, but before they had a hardware fix.

There was a period when I couldn't park my Bolt in our downtown parking garages because they were forbidden there.

That’s history: today’s Bolts are fine. But we shouldn’t pretend that was always the case.

I just got mine done, it took less than a day, like 6 hours.

Whelp, the new dealer supposedly did the replacement today. Dropped off the car at 08:10, got a call at 15:20 that it was done. Seven hours seems more reasonable and they claim they did the outstanding CSPs as well. I asked about the HVBJB and they showed me a wiring harness and claimed that's what they replaced.

People wonder why I have trust issues...

Whatever. It'll be Ford's responsibility if it fails, and I've never been that concerned about it failing, so we'll keep on driving.

A wiring harness! Well that’s strike 2.

Make sure you see "10C66" in the part number on the invoice sheet you get as confirmation the HVBJB was replaced.

I hadn't had a chance to read the invoice.

The HVBJB part number is there. The torque-to-yield bolts were also replaced (23S56B).

They also did the charge cord stuck CSP (23B50).

The wiring harness was apparently the electronic parking brake harness. (22P31B). I don't recall seeing that warning pop up, but I haven't been driving it as much as my partner.

I also crawled under the car and took a look at the bolts holding the battery assembly to the rest of the vehicle. They've definitely been worked.

So, it's probably been done. My paranoia is working overtime and leading me astray.
