Like I said previously the X plan pricing is different for each car. As of last month there is NO IDEA what it will be on the Mach E. Until you set up financing no one knows. In May it is reported that you will actually order your car but financing will not be available until the first delivery dates are known. In short to speculate on this is a waste of time

I wouldn't say no one knows until you do financing. You can see the X-plan price of cars by logging into the appropriate website. The Mach-E just isn't on there yet.

Ok. Sorry. I did not know that there was a website for X pricing. Thanks for the update

I’ve seen no indication that there will be an “invoice” price. It seems to me all signs point to the MSRP being the invoice price.

My understanding is Ford is concerned about dealerships offering discounts.

If your thinking about the Ford directive on MSRP. It’s more about preventing dealers from advertising the vehicle price too low by including rebates or discounts that most people don’t qualify for. Ford wants the lowest advertised price to be consistent among dealers at MSRP. Dealers can advertise a higher price than MSRP, just not lower. This is to match the Tesla experience of the price you see is the price you pay, no funny business.
Dealers in my area advertise all their prices at A-plan. Not everyone qualifies but it makes for a lower advertised price to bring people in.

Any thoughts on whether X plan pricing would be decided at the time of order or the time of delivery? I just joined the MCA and if X plan pricing requires 6 months of membership, that puts me at the very end of August 2020. That may be after ordering opens, but will be well before taking delivery. I also reserved a GT which may delay when ordering opens for me.

I would think final pricing and X plan consideration would be set at delivery, but not sure.

It's 60 days not 6 months

Cool! Could have sworn I read 6 months somewhere.......?.
6 months is the time you must own Ford stock before you can get the X-plan.

So I just signed up for the MCA too - $35 to maybe get X-Plan pricing as my husband no longer works for a company with that benefit - definitely worth the gamble! I did notice that the official "excluded" list was dated in 2018 - I am wondering if Ford will add the Mach E - the other models were the extra pricey special vehicles like the F-150 Raptor and Mustang Shelby and Bullitt models.

Did anyone else check out their forum? Man, do they HATE the Mach E! I totally expected it - because I see it on Twitter and IG, etc. Some of them were talking about quitting the MCA and the President also stating that the only way they will report on it again (after a January mag cover) was if Ford decided to change the name. General feeling was that Mustang is a "Pony Car" and the Mach E is not. A couple of middle roaders and one positive post in the thread I read... sigh.

I would be more sympathetic to their anger, except they just kept repeating the same old tired anti EV myths - I can get gas anywhere and you will run out of range, anyone who buys an EV is going to get electrocuted by the vehicle, Farmers will never buy an electric truck... to mention a few. The naysayers were also saying it was not a true Ford because it is made in Mexico, and that it was likely to fail quickly and simply disappear.

You know, I have always not wanted to buy a Tesla because I see so many stories of them getting vandalized, I didn't want that drama. I was so happy to hear to that Ford was making this vehicle, now I am starting to wonder if my Mach E will get vandalized by those out there that are reeling because Ford named it Mustang, it's an EV, and it has four doors... To be honest I am thinking that any EV that is as popular as the Tesla (and hopefully this will happen for Ford) is likely to get some of that drama... maybe an idea for a thread...
