All the new 2025 features are on the 2025 Rally, too.
At this point you might want to wait for the full refresh which should be in '26, '27 at the latest. Then you will have maximized the '21.

These are all great additions, although I think the ventilated seats and heat pump should have been there from 2021. I can't believe they haven't changed the Bluecruise cameraI locations yet - I haven't been able to properly sip my hot coffee with Bluecruise since 2021. I don't care too much about losing some frunk space as I recently realized I hadn't opened it for 6mo. I'm tempted, but my 2021 GTPE still feels pretty new, so I'll wait until 2026 and NACS port & driver monitor camera location change before considering a new model year. I'd also like to see a better 12v battery and battery location.
It's funny you say that, that has been my biggest struggle with cruise, my damn coffee is always in the way!!

Great to have this information.

I'm torn between the gain of the heat pump and the loss of most of the frunk. I am in a climate that will benefit from the heat pump, but I also fully use the available space in the frunk for my support tools (mobile EVSE, J1772 and CCS to Tesla adapters, air compressor, etc.) I can hope a refresh will get some of this back.

I have not yet been through winter in my current MME, so my opinion may change. I still wish there were a well or other dedicated location for a spare tire.

2021 premium awd extended owner here who's options expires in Dec. I still plan on buying out my options after seeing this. I bought a 60k/6year warranty online with my ford points (plus a couple hundred bucks before they raised the prices) and my miles are over the 30k by a few k. $25k buy out to me is a no brainer, but not as much of a no brainer as i expected (the car is barely worth 25k). I figure, no way I can get a nicer car for $25k.

20 more miles of range is not that big of a deal when i never charge the car above 85% anyways and still have plenty of range and i dont want to lose all the frunk space. The blue cruise is who cares, i dont plan on paying the monthly fee when mine stops working. The ventilated and nicer seats is def nice but not quite worth it.

I really hope the dash upgrade is backported though lol. (oh and i hate the 1970s style steering column shifter)

What’s everyone’s guess on when this will actually happen? I am upgrading my ‘21 premium to a GT. I’ve got it on order and is to start production in December. Article says early 2025 but….? I assume the GT will also get some updates. If I stick with the ‘24 I’ve ordered, will I see this new pricing too?

I'm sorry, but this upgrade is the most disappointing I ever saw in the EV world. Only ventilated seats and heatpump.... In the EU-market all the competitors have that alrdy since the beginning.

No 800V upgrade, where is the V2L/V2G function?

They missed the ‘now standard Magnaride’ feature. That Ford didn’t listen for.
But one bumper to rule them all, curious if there’s a range loss for the Premium

Ride quality improvement, heat pump are 2 great improvements!
But I am not fond of the smaller frunk. According to Munro it should definitely be some space savings available to fit a pump without altering the frunk size.
I am also glad that they are refining - not revolutionizing - the look and feel.
The only thing I miss is the 800V / increase charging speed and V2L.

This will be really tempting when the details for the 2025 GT come out.

The two things at the top of my list I still wanted when I bought my 2023 were a heat pump and ventilated seats. If they can deliver those, plus the new motor/wiring upgrades of the 24s, that MIGHT be enticing enough to upgrade or at least be damn close.

Would be a shame about the frunk space though. I always love throwing a couple bags of groceries in there and seeing people's looks as I open the front of my car for storage.

The retention of the park assist button is also confusing, as someone else pointed out - unless they're finally adding it back? Seriously, why would you go through the trouble of redesigning that space and leave a button that hasn't worked for multiple years?

I do like the red stitching - takes me back to my WRX memories.

The redesigned driver IPC is interesting too. I wonder what the dark mode version looks like. It seems weird to put the power meter off to the right though, away from the charge level. Feels like those should be close together, like they are now.

Will that automatic lane change be added to earlier model MMEs?

ACs are heat pumps, but only operate in cooling mode. Why are heat pumps the either cool or heat so much bigger?

I hate the dial shifter, but I also hate column shifters. Ford was not listening to this customer when he suggested a console mounted stick like in the F150 Lightning. The column shifter may just kill my plans to switch model years even though I hate the 5 second limit with a passion. ??

Heat pump is zero utility to me. Loss of frunk space hurts. I use the space up front. ??

Ventilated seats on the Premium are nice. I hope they make it to the GT. ??

The red stitching on the seats in the red Premium is a nice touch. ??

Overall, I have to wait to see what’s going on with the GT. It’s going to have to be super-compelling to get me out of my ‘21 since it has that nasty column shifter. Or maybe I will keep the 2021 until Ford actually listens. Wait and see for me. ??

It's not meant to be a full refresh. They're really unlikely to upgrade the entire HV system without a full model refresh (which would supposedly come in a couple years). It's a mid-cycle refresh... what things can they add to attract people on the fence without redesigning the whole car?
