I think these are nice changes from Ford. I personally don’t even need the heat pump I was fine with the 23.5 upgraded heater in northern USA winter. The seat warmers are scorching hot! Anyone use the seat warmers above level 1?

I personally would keep the larger Frunk and go no heat pump, and I live up north
If my seats are on, it is always level 3!

Overall, this is a good update especially considering model refresh is slated for 2026. The two misses for me (so far) are the decreased frunk space and the column shift. Of those, the frunk space is serious enough to me that the 2025 is a hard pass as a replacement for my 21. I far prefer the dial shift as well.

Heat pumps are a meh issue for me. More range is nice but I live upcountry in a brutally mild climate. I’d rather have the frunk room. YMMV.
I’m going to have to see the frunk for myself to judge the loss of space. Our current frunk holds a 22” rollaboard. As long as the new frunk still holds a 22” rollaboard, I guess it will be ok. From an aesthetic perspective, I also like the dial shift. What I haven’t figured out is what they’ve done with the windshield wiper controls. I just hope they haven’t pulled an Audi and added stalls ?

Am I the only one that read through all of this looking for PICS of these three 'NEW' colors?? the hell with the substantial stuff!

Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clearcoat7, Velocity Blue Metallic7, and Desert Sand

Or Does Molten Magenta Metallic basically mean 'Rapid Red', Velocity Blue 'Vapor Blue' and Desert Sand that Press photo of the Rally (a greyish/white-ish blend)??

Any photos/links appreciated

Its Meh update.
- Still sync 4A (Ironically 2025 ford Gas cars coming with Andriod Automotive OS which has video & Game apps )
- Stop /Start button still there
- No rear heated seats (All other cars have in this range )
- No V2H , they are giving free charger which can do but not the car.
- No imporve on DC fast Charging speed.
I don’t disagree with much of this. But we should keep in mind this is just a mid cycle refresh. They were only going to make a few important changes. I think the charging speed increase would only come with a future major refresh.

I wouldn't want a native NACS port yet. In the part of the country I road trip most in (CO/WY/UT/NV), rural Supercharger stations are still mostly V2s. Only about 10% of my DCFCs are at SC, with 90% still at EA.

My interest in native NACS will track Tesla's plans to replace most of the V2s. Which is a complete unknown at this point. Could still be years away AFAIK.
I still want @Ford Motor Company to have a native NACS AND a CCS port, even if they have to move it to the rear of the car. In fact given Supercharger layouts having the fast charging ports at the rear makes sense.
Ford really needs to a physical frunk/trunk button and a key fob with a frunk button as they do in the EU.

BTW, you gain a heat pump but you lose ~ half the frunk space:
IMG_0080.jpeg

One of my photos from an event last week in NY state. More on that coming.
Honestly, room in my frunk is a bigger daily concern for me than range. Winters are getting warmer anyways. It is 79°F in NH on October 21st. I mean WTF. Keep your heat pump and give me a frunk release on my FOB.

2025 Mustang Mach-E Adds Sportier Looks, Auto Lane Changes and More

  • Added Standard Equipment: The 2025 Mustang Mach-E® adds a heat pump to help optimize energy consumption, especially in colder weather conditions
  • More Personalization: A Sport Appearance Package offers Mustang Mach-E GT design elements on Premium models; new colors and wheels are also available
  • Enhanced BlueCruise: The latest version of hands-free highway driving, adds Automatic Lane Change, automating up to 45% of lane changes on an average drive, based on internal testing

DEARBORN, Mich., Oct. 21, 2024 – To give customers more of what they have been asking for, 2025 Mustang Mach-E adds a new standard heat pump, automatic lane changes using the latest version of available BlueCruise1 hands-free highway driving – BlueCruise 1.5 – and a new Sport Appearance Package, all at an appealing price point and with zero vehicle emissions.

“We’ve built strong relationships with our customers over the last four years, and continue to make upgrades based on their feedback,” said Donna Dickson, Mustang Mach-E chief engineer. “We’re dedicated to giving them the best version of Mustang Mach-E possible, and that means giving them features they have been asking for, like the new heat pump and more interior space up front.”

Ford continues to monitor forums and listen to customers to integrate their feedback into its products and to enhance the total electric vehicle ownership experience by offering the Ford Power Promise, which addresses customer pain points.

Premium and Sporty
For Premium model buyers seeking a sportier look, a new Sport Appearance Package brings key styling cues from Mustang Mach-E GT at a lower price point, including the front fascia and grille shield and painted red front Brembo®-branded brake calipers, as well as 19-inch Monochromatic High-Gloss Black-Painted wheels and black-painted door cladding and wheel lips.

Red accent stitching and sport pedals complete the interior upgrades. Ventilated front seats are now standard on Premium models. A column-mounted shifter replaces the previous center- mounted dial shifter on all models, freeing up console space.

Automatic Lane Changes With BlueCruise 1.5
BlueCruise 1.5, the latest version of the available hands-free highway driving system, debuts on the 2025 Mustang Mach-E. BlueCruise 1.5 includes a new feature, Automatic Lane Change, where the system can smoothly and seamlessly perform a lane change for you without driver input.

BlueCruiseSoftwareVersions_1.5.jpg

BlueCruise 1.5 will initiate a lane change if the vehicle ahead is slower than the set speed or if a vehicle is following too closely in the passing lane. It keeps drivers engaged longer in hands- free mode and helps navigate traffic. Internal testing shows BlueCruise 1.5 automates up to 45% of driver-initiated lane changes on a typical drive.

New 2025 Mustang Mach-E customers will have more options at vehicle order for how they access BlueCruise, with a one-year plan and one-time purchase option.2 Those who opt for the one-time purchase won’t need to reactivate BlueCruise. A 90-day complimentary trial is also available for those who don’t choose either plan option.

In-Vehicle Experience: New Ford Connectivity Package
The new Ford Connectivity Package enhances the in-vehicle experience. This package includes:
  • Wi-Fi® Hotspot: 5G Wi-Fi keeps drivers and their family online and connected while on the road. This can be used for up to 10 personal devices and can extend up to 50 feet from the vehicle, great for camping or tailgating. 3
  • Apps: Access apps via the in-vehicle screen to watch YouTube or sing along to in- vehicle karaoke while parked. Occupants can also stream their favorite audio entertainment apps via Alexa.4
  • Maps: Access Connected Navigation to get where you need to go, including features such as EV Trip Planner, Predictive Destinations, and Route Guidance.5
At vehicle order, customers can select a one-time purchase6 without having to worry about setting up a plan. If they don’t select this option, they will receive a one-year complimentary trial upon activation and then can set-up an annual plan.
    More Personalization Choices
Giving customers more ways to personalize their Mustang Mach-E, three new optional colors make their debut for 2025, including Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clearcoat7, Velocity Blue Metallic7, and Desert Sand. Three new wheel designs are introduced, including a Dark Carbonized Gray wheel for Mustang Mach-E Rally.
The GT Performance Upgrade remains available as a factory option or a purchase through the FordPass® app after delivery.
The 2025 Mustang Mach-E goes on sale in early 2025, starting at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $36,495.

1Available feature. Equipped Ford vehicles come with either a complimentary trial period or an included duration, after which purchase of a BlueCruise subscription is required. Modem activation is required for subscription purchase and for initial activation of BlueCruise (for pre-2024 model-year vehicles). See ford.com/bluecruise for details. BlueCruise is a driver-assist feature and does not replace safe driving or driver’s attention, judgment, or need to control the vehicle. Only remove hands in a hands-free Blue Zone. Always watch the road and be prepared to resume control. See Owner’s Manual for details and limitations.
2BlueCruise service will be active for a minimum seven years (nontransferable to another VIN). No additional subscription purchase will be required to maintain BlueCruise service beyond the seven years if the service is available.
3Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features. Data speeds may temporarily be slowed down if network is busy.
4Some Alexa Built-in features require the Ford Connectivity Package or Wi-Fi® network.
5After Connected Navigation three-year inclusion expires, Connected Navigation is only available as part of the Ford Connectivity Package.
6The Ford Connectivity Package will be active for a minimum seven years (nontransferable to another VIN). No additional subscription purchase will be required to maintain connectivity service beyond the seven years if the service is available.

I don’t see a need to upgrade until they include the Tesla NACS port to charge. I would like the ventilated seats and heat pump though.

six pages and nary a mention of bluecruise 1.5 - y'all are slipping.
@ChasingCoral isn’t stupid, he started a separate thread just for BC1.5. ;)
you might want to drive it before calling it retro... it is more intuitive than the dial... easy to work the control without looking... these feel more like a momentary turn signal than an automatic column shifter you may be imagining.

I've driven these in a Kia, Mercedes, and a Tesla... I like it.

I don’t need to look at the dial to shift it either. Neither of these are actually intuitive, they both require learning through repetition.
given Supercharger layouts having the fast charging ports at the rear makes sense
Putting an NACS port on the front right would accomplish exactly the same thing and require less engineering gymnastics.

Oh, I’m sure I could get used to them quickly and wouldn’t mind them. I just find the evolution of gear selectors amusing. I believe on very old-timey cars, you selects gears using a pedal, then gear shifters moved to the column. Then, they moved to the floor (for a “sportier” appearance. Then; “alternative” controls (dials, push buttons, flappy paddles, etc) came into vogue. Now, they’re migrating back to the column.

(Note: the above is not meant to be purely sequential or chronological. It’s just a very rough “flow”).
Don't forget the push buttons in the center of the steering wheel in Edsel's or on the dash in the early 60s Chryslers.

Oh, and Ford, if you are listening, don’t get rid of the stop/start button. I want control over when my car turns on. ??

I just noticed that they removed “GROUND SPEED “ from the speedometer. Hopefully, they’ll add it back before production or as an update.

Really, really unhappy with the new features in combination with a price drop -> feels like Tesla all over again when they started devaluing model 3's. Why can't Ford come out with a new model with a different body style (capri?) at a lower price point instead of undercutting their best customers?

Our Raptor has non traditional wiper controls. I intensely dislike it. If I think there’s going to be rain I drive the 18 year old weather beaten Tacoma instead.

if they "listend to the customers and froums", why would the useless [P] button still be on the console, instead of maybe a trunk or other hard button?
Good point. I'd also add access to the 12v battery ports without removing all the vanity covers.
