Hmmm... I was planning on buying a GT this month until this came out. I live in Chicago and sit in traffic a few days each month. It's only 30 miles, but it can take 2 hours some days. I'm thinking I might need that heat pump for the winter. But between the deals to unload 2024 inventory and the state rebates that might dry up before 2025 is released, that's going to be one expensive heat pump.

How bad is it in the winters now? Cabin gets warm enough and can I get home? I can precondition at home, but at work it will just sit in the cold, unplugged. 60 miles round trip, so even with heater on I should be good, right?
i am in IL as well, WHAT STATE Rebates are AVAILABLE, let alone drying up??? And "deals" to unload 2024's? I want to live where you do as there are no deal in my area..

Thanks. I don't know what the "banks" are, but there are several 2025 Ford models that can be ordered now on ford.com. The Mach-E is not among them - only 2024 Mach-E's are available in the online showroom right now. Is that what you meant, or are you referring to the Mach-E, or maybe just certain trims of the Mach-E?
The order banks are an internal ordering system for dealers and fleet managers. Not customer facing, so not surprising the website doesn’t show the 2025 available for building yet. They just opened up today, too. Given that production doesn’t start until early January, no one should expect a 2025 before March of 2025.

Per the leaked ordering guide, ventilated seats on not on GT. So stupid. Redesign the seat so we can get it. Every other ev has that option.
Maybe ventilation is just not needed, or even helpful, on the ultrasuede GT seats?

I imagine the plastic/leatherette Premium seats get sweaty in hot weather, but the GT seats really don't.

Oh no! Not the frunk! Noooooooooooooo!!!!!
Is the heat pump optional? Can you not get it?
It looks like they're making the front trunk smaller although I never use it because I'm too worried about bending the front hood when I close it because it does require some force in order to close it looks like they're making it smaller maybe to accommodate the heat pump.

Well they continue to create a Faustian bargain they do things just because they can but not because they should. They get everybody used to a center console position for their transmission with their little spin button which they found to be problematic and many of their vehicles over the years now going to the column which is another easy failure point unfortunately that'll be confusing for a while if I plan to get a new one it makes no sense what they're doing they provide so many things and then they take things away and then they add things they're not consistent in their future offerings and they offer a bunch of stuff that just doesn't matter the list is so huge I couldn't even list it here but I still feel like I'm driving a golf cart with a giant iPad. Has anybody come across the fix for the infinite spring rate of the rear suspension. He continues to leave the ground especially on the right side and other words if I turn sharp at around 40 miles an hour on occasion the right rear tire will come off the ground and yes I have checked tire pressure and the shocks are known to be good weird.

Donna Dickson was very jealous of the big space behind the beauty covers in the Lightning. The Lightning folks didn't have to reduce frunk space to add the heat pump. That was not an option for the Mach E.
Pull an Elon. She should announce the 2025s have a redesigned radiator for enhanced cooling (thanks @Mach-Lee ) plus a new and improved heat pump and an even larger frunk. Then show the 2025 frunk and blame the media for being anti technology and pushing lies when they “claim” the frunk is smaller. ;)

In all seriousness, I think it’s a shame but I also live in a brutally mild winter area. I can count the number of times I’ve needed to use the heat on one hand.

Adjust the bumpers out a bit. Maybe half a turn each. Then try again. It helped my 21. :)

Probably every time you drive in snow. Has that been once yet?

Is the order guide available somewhere? I haven't found it so far.

Wonder when the new wheels will show up for order.
I wish I had ventilated seats. It was my most wanted option.
