Guess I'll just have to see it, because I don't see how all those functions are gonna fit on 2 stalks without losing some of them (which is what I'd fear). I'm still wondering where "L" gear went, which I use all the time for more regen.
L mode was an ICE carryover (it was on the Escape dial shifter they used for the Mach-E). It’s not really necessary on an EV with blended braking since pressing the brake pedal does the same thing. The replacement is to just use 1PD if you want throttle-off regen. Most people never use L mode.

I was wondering about that. Wasn't sure if there was going to be 2 right-side stalks. So they're squeezing the gear shift control onto the wiper stalk? Or moving that to the turn signal stalk?

Here’s the 2020 Raptor wiper controls. Combination turn signal, high beam switch, and wiper. 1 stalk. The big difference I see is that the truck has no rear window wiper. Where will that switch go?

Wipers are “off” in this picture. To get to “auto” you need to twist the knob clockwise (forward).

It just takes a bit of getting used to I suppose. But it’s in a non traditional location and somewhat different than previous trucks anyway. But again, I drive it so seldom that I instinctively reach for the wiper lever on the right, where it is on the mme.

If they give us another way to do it (for 2PD), I'd agree. I don't care if it's called "L", that's just the only way to get high regen now without losing 2PD and the softer steering wheel weight and wider accelerator pedal range that Whisper offers. Whisper+L gives me the combination that I prefer.

Far better would be able to let us select regen level, steering wheel weight, and pedal play as independent settings. As well as retaining those settings in the user profile.

Did someone say “ventilated seats”? ?
Wow ventilated seed should've been available already that's weird and a heat pump yeah that's an obvious addition I don't understand why Original cars didn't have those things makes no sense oh wow

If an infant fits, they have to have a working escape button. Which was the whole point of the special baby-blocking frunk divider on early 2021s when the button didn’t work.
I'm mostly struck at the absurdity of the law. I don't think an infant is going to understand that it needs to press the button. That said, it doesn't hurt to have it there, so this is mostly a strange thought experiment.

I was corrected, it’s a 3-year old not an infant.

I use it almost exclusively, and I hate 1-pd.

There’s a post a few pages back with a better explanation. It’s not just the heat pump but also the radiator orientation change. Apparently it’s now down to Tesla sized frunk territory. A shame imo.
Donna Dickson was very jealous of the big space behind the beauty covers in the Lightning. The Lightning folks didn't have to reduce frunk space to add the heat pump. That was not an option for the Mach E.

You likely won't fit in the downsized frunk without some serious contortions. Watch out that some miniature doesn't claim your title.
I *am* a Miniature. ??

In the 3 years I've had mine I have only opened the frunk twice. Once on the lot before I bought it and once a few months after purchase to show a co-worker what was 'under the hood'.

My guess: They will start taking orders in May 2025, and start delivering in August.

The "host of upgrades" Ford brags about looks pretty underwhelming to me. Nothing that would tempt me to switch from my '21.
Order banks opened today for 2025 models. Current start of production for MY2025 is January 6th, 2025, according to other posts on this forum.

Thanks. I don't know what the "banks" are, but there are several 2025 Ford models that can be ordered now on ford.com. The Mach-E is not among them - only 2024 Mach-E's are available in the online showroom right now. Is that what you meant, or are you referring to the Mach-E, or maybe just certain trims of the Mach-E?
