Molten Magenta Metallic is the only NEW color for Ford. The other two, Velocity Blue and Dessert Sand have been available for several years, just not on the Mach-E. You can see them on the Ford website when viewing the Maverick, Bronco Sport and several others. You can also google those colors and see them on tons of actual vehicles.

Molten Magenta Metallic It is similar to Rapid Red but a little more purple "Magenta". I really like the color. Here is a rough idea from Ford's Literature:

Here is what comes to mind with magenta - I'll pass on that color...

I agree, that is a true Magenta color ^^^
But Molten Magenta Metallic is definitely not Rapid Red, Ruby Red, Hot Pepper Red or Race Red (the other current red colors from Ford).

On my honorary title of Frunk Puppy I declare that @Mach-Lee be known as “Frunk-stuffing Ninja.” That and 5 bucks *might* buy you a cup of coffee. ??
You likely won't fit in the downsized frunk without some serious contortions. Watch out that some miniature doesn't claim your title.

This is terrible for me and many other MachE owners in urban areas. Why?
Here is a secret: having the ability to store my suitcase after leaving an airport in my Frunk, or a week’s worth of groceries has led to my car windows staying intact when I am parked on the street here in the urban Bay Area (San Francisco, Oakland).

Taking away this luxury feature for a “charge cord and pizza box” frunk makes my stomach turn. This alone tells me I will have to switch to another EV with a better Frunk (no room to park a F-150 Lightning so don’t advise that) after my Options plan ends in two years.
There's always the rear cargo area, as long as the cargo cover is intact and the rear seats are up.

In my experience, women that drive my car or are passengers LOVE the level 3 setting during cold weather (typical Bay Area temperatures of 50-55F and below at night).
Maybe, just maybe Ford is trying to optimize the heated seat temperature for more than 50% of the potential users.
Interesting point; I could see that. Maybe they could make more people happy by making Level 1 a tad cooler and keeping Level 2 and 3 the same temp? ?‍♂

You bastard!!! ?

How much ya want for it?
You can reprogram a Lightning keyfob to work with the Mustang (DIY if you already have two Mustang fobs) and use the frunk button on it to open the Mustang frunk. I did that ages ago. You do have to unlock the car first, so it's several button pushes, but it works great.

Look at the photos. It's now a stalk.
Combined with wipers control? I hope that it's not moved to the touchscreen

Our 2020 Raptor has a similar setup (no rear wiper though obviously). It’s less than intuitive imo. I’ll post a picture a bit later. It might give folks a general idea of what it might look like, I find it extremely annoying to use and unintuitive, but I also very rarely drive the thing.

Nothing here to make me want a Mach-e yet.
In my experience, Ventilated seats are useless.
I'm not an all black fan either.
You either live in a cooler climate or have never had ventilated seats. They are the one feature my wife misses from the Edge she had before the Mach-E.

Even though I still carry the fob all the time, I never take it out of my pocket. I'd still rather they just offer us a mini-fob that works for authorization-only (like PAAK does, except with fob-level dependability).

My alternate method to bending over and pulling the frunk lever is using the door keypad (PIN+7). That's about as fast and easy as digging the fob out of my pocket anyway.

I store emergency gear and various charging adapters in the frunk so it's such a rare thing to open it that getting the Lightning fob was a waste of money and time to program it.

I agree--I'd like a small credit-card sized fob instead of the massive object we get. I have PAAK for the Lightning but it's so unreliable that I don't usually use it. Plus you have to swap vehicles in Ford Pass before using it, and the reconnection time can be up to a minute or so. Having a small fob-like object that works as well as the real fob but is less bulky would be perfect.

Ford could have made it even worse. Just imagine how many Ram owners shifted to Park by mistake whenever a song from Nickelback was playing on the radio!
Was that in an attempt to turn up the volume?

I was wondering about that. Wasn't sure if there was going to be 2 right-side stalks. So they're squeezing the gear shift control onto the wiper stalk? Or moving that to the turn signal stalk?

Guess I'll just have to see it, because I don't see how all those functions are gonna fit on 2 stalks without losing some of them (which is what I'd fear). I'm still wondering where "L" gear went, which I use all the time for more regen.

Hmmm... I was planning on buying a GT this month until this came out. I live in Chicago and sit in traffic a few days each month. It's only 30 miles, but it can take 2 hours some days. I'm thinking I might need that heat pump for the winter. But between the deals to unload 2024 inventory and the state rebates that might dry up before 2025 is released, that's going to be one expensive heat pump.

How bad is it in the winters now? Cabin gets warm enough and can I get home? I can precondition at home, but at work it will just sit in the cold, unplugged. 60 miles round trip, so even with heater on I should be good, right?
I have a 22 and it works OK here in Alaska. Newer models have an additional 2kW of heat. Many threads on getting the most out of your ride in the winter but set heat to lowest comfort level while using heated seats. Expect a range hit of up to 40%. You should be good no matter what but preconditioning will give you a bit more range.
