Good debate see your reasoning and should have never comment on your complete BS post to begin with.

You must be in a different reality than me. There is so many feel good stories here I must have missed. The OTA the BC the HVJB The brakes the windshield the roof the door faults on and on appears everyone is living the dream. My story is no too different than many others just a bit more vocal. When a company would rather spend money on legal representation than fixing their car (product) you should question dealing with that company again.
You’re on an automotive forum dude. Its primary purpose is to help with questions and issues. It’s literally no different than any other car forum. No difference at all. Look, we all get it, you’re angry about your car, you have ever right to be. Not everybody, though, has those issues. In excess 98% of Mach-e owners aren’t even in this, or any other, forum.

Yeah, I probably just haven't owned mine long enough to get really disenchanted with Ford yet. ?

7 months in and I still stare out the window at it admiringly. A car/driver honeymoon period intact.
Don‘t get me wrong. I still love driving my MME. Used my BC 1.0 yesterday and today.

But Ford is not a startup. They should have a better feel and experience for customer/product comms. It seems like a clown show sometimes.

I need to check my pricing, etc and have lost track of the changes made to the program. But I don‘t think they have tiered pricing for 1.0, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5 despite each gaining capability from the previous. in other words if I’m paying for and stuck on 1.0 I should not be paying the same rate as 1.3 or 1.5 IMO.

Every 2021 job one had those issues. Just because some do not have a service that can preform the recalls and the CSP does not mean they did not have them.

Has nothing to do with angry just getting a bit disappointed with the growing lack of ethics and integrity in the world. Seems to be just getting worse and worse. Maybe I will think different at the end of next week. Have no idea what a car forum has to do with it. Just calling ball balls and strikes hoping that we may see a bit of transparency and ethics from this company. I guess after 4 years may be I should just give up. If everyone did that you would see what would win.

Stay frosty.

I’ll believe it when I receive it at this point.

Cynical me says someone sees this not-so-glowing thread up to 11 pages and adds a line to a web page trying to quell the forum.

I mean, do they have rogue/unsupervised Interns updating product statuses on their pages? ?‍♂
You would think they could just bounce on here and clear it up? That would be a good experience. Maybe lawyering up for a class action ?‍♂

Unlikely to happen as the folks in the media team, such as the two Ford official groups here are not privy to the working of the Mach-e OTA group. That group is unlikely to divulge the timing of a release of 1.3 to the 21’s as I think it’s not likely a calendar related event but more likely based upon the occurrence of other events such as completion of coding by the various module manufacturers, other year updates being substantially completed etc.

As for class action lawsuits, good luck with that. They’re expensive to bring to trial, take a considerable period of time to prosecute, have low payouts and they take on a life of their own. The expectation vs reality gap is huge.

All I can say is that an official abandonment of the 2021 model year 2021s would be news to the mme engineers I know. The longer this quiet ota period extends though, the more likely it that the 1.3 update, PoweUp 7.0 iirc, is never coming.

I received this from Ford this morning - no more clarity on timing, but they did confirm that we have not been abandoned! I do appreciate that their customer support team always replies, even when they can’t share detail. See below:

I believe this is the blog post you are referencing. The Ford page linked to is intended to show the vehicles that are currently receiving the BlueCruise 1.3 update.

I apologize for any confusion. As shared in our post, if you are a 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E owner and you have a BlueCruise-equipped vehicle, you are eligible for the BlueCruise 1.3 update.

The final update to enable BlueCruise 1.3 is currently rolling out to model year 2022 and 2023 Mustang Mach-E customers. This will be a staggered rollout by model year. We will share more once the rollout starts to 2021 Mustang Mach-Es.

The Ford website does NOT say that 2021 Mach-E will NEVER get BlueCruise 1.3, it says that the software update IPMA-24.204.8.27 that upgrades to BC 1.3 is only for the 2022-2023 models. The update for the 2021 is still listed as "Coming Soon" on their website and will be a different update.

I know for a fact that the 2021 Mach-E has no issue with the hardware or the software to run BC 1.3 as I used FDRS and FORScan to get it working on my GT, as others have. I see no reason Ford would not be pushing it out to all 2021 models "soon", as stated on their website.

The "Check your vehicle's BlueCruise availability" link just looped back to the main BlueCruise page for about a week, and on that page they had removed 2021 model year, as your first circle shows. They fixed the looping link over the weekend.

However, listing “coming soon” has long been an app ux/ui bad practice. It’s vague and takes on a different meaning to different people such that it becomes useless info. Where is it- within some reason- on a quarterly roadmap?

Coming soon doesn’t change anything for the MY21s who are possibly paying same sub rate as those who have, or will have, 1.3 much sooner. IDC too much about a 1-2 month lag. But >6 begins to add up in $ and optics IMO.

Job 1 2021s aren't paying the same rate for bluecruise. Would be indefensible if we were.

Hmm, so the original post appears to be based on incorrect information, which resulted in 11 pages (so far) of fury, arguing, and bedwetting?
This must be an internet forum.
It was based on incorrect information supplied by Ford which they have now cleaned up. And mainly caused because we were told we would get the update by the end of the summer. 2023. Over a year ago.
