I bought my 2023 mach e in February and it has 7300 miles on it. This past weekend my car came on with a bunch of faults and warning lights. I was surprised since the car only has 7300 miles on it. Today I found out that the connector to my front drive unit was compromised due to a failed seal and differential fluid was leaking into the connector. My dealer is recommending a replacement of the front drive unit and connector harness (attached their video). Luckily they have a loaner for me while waiting for parts and have been very helpful so far, but I'm obviously concerned that my car is having such a major issue when I've had it only 8 months and bought it brand new. Anyone else experience anything like this? I love the mach e but don't want to go down the path of continued repairs every 5000-10000 miles...

There was at least one other similar report. I do not recall seeing a rash of problems similar to this though. I don't have a lot of issues with my car. ??

Go play the lottery, I've never seen this problem before. It's almost always a software issue or HVBJB related problem.

Not the same leak but my front drive unit had leaky half shaft seals. Had those drive unit seals and the both front half shafts replaced (clicking noise too).

So far, two years and 45,000 miles, only one minor software glitch under warranty. A couple of petty annoyances such as creaking weatherstripping, but I love the car. Besides, I bought it at the market peak and can’t afford to sell it. “Buy high and sell low.” I understand your dismay, but it sounds like something pretty unusual.

Sorry, can’t hear you over my ear to ear grinning on a daily basis. Definitely the best car I have owned so far. I actually hear of fewer problems with the Premium than the GT. I would be surprised if you had another major problem like this. The only other problem I am hearing is brake issues due to lack of use. I also bought at the top of the MME market. I only take a loss if I don’t drive it into the ground for 10 years, which I intend to do. I’m glad I waited till the kinks got worked out.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Looks more major than just a software or OTA issue.

I am also getting nervous about mine because my '23 had the TSB 23-2155 done at 20K miles.
Although @Ford Motor Company was very nice to intervene on getting updates of repair progress for me.

With about a year left on the B2B warranty, I am weighing if I should hang onto it and buy an extended warranty or sell her.

I bought the Job 1 in 2023 at MSRP less $6500 PCO.

Yeah I'm glad Ford is so responsive on here. Definitely get your nerves. I did purchase an extended warranty when I bought it so that makes me feel better!
