So a 3 year old article after pandemic restrictions were lifted about Tesla break ins increasing in San Fran is your defense? Who's trolling who here...lol
One more time: Are you suggesting car break-ins are not a thing?

How 'bout half the frunk. Half a deal? :)
(MME with a heat pump)
Actually, that annoys me a lot. It’s a sign of lazy engineering on Ford’s part. They just shoe-horned in something because “all the cool kids have one” and gave no thought as to how to package it.

Sat in a Blazer EV with the hopes of taking it for a test drive and couldn't. The seating position is uncomfortable for me and my wife. If you're used to hunching over your laptop, then this might be ok for you, but we wanted to have good posture when sitting in our car, which the Mach-E allows.
  • The headrest only goes up or down. It's aggressively tilted forward and cannot be straight vertical.
  • The bolsters are a little too aggressive, even in the 2LT version.
  • The seat bottom can't tilt to be flat. It's always tilting back, a little too much for us.
  • The roof and belt-line are trying to make the Blazer not seem so tall, but it means that when you try to get a higher seating position, it feels claustrophobic because your head is so close to the headliner.
Just our opinion, though, everyone is different. I was interested in just seeing what new options are on the market and the Blazer EV seemed like a decent competitor.

I'll add to that the inability to tilt the steering column high enough for me. First thing I tried to do was move it further up but it was already as high as it could go. Everything else seemed OK, but that to me was odd.

Correct me if I’m wrong …
If you’re smashing your way through the glass to get at what’s inside the trunk, you could then just pop the frunk manually and grab what’s in it as well, no?
Now consider that in some areas people will smash your window and steal your stuff while you’re waiting in traffic lmao.

I really only use the frunk like once a month if I need to keep something out of sight. I do absolutely see the lack of a frunk as lazy design and poor packaging.

not sure where you got the impression that i thought "car break-ins are not a thing", but I will say that worrying about them is idiotic if one takes basic precautions. MOST break-ins are by people that leave a vlaluable in clear sight, OR in the case of my neighborhood where people park there cars outside the garage and don't lock it.

Totslly disagree. They saw the need for it and made it fit within the parameters of the car that was already built. The car still HAS a frunk, it's just not as large as previous ones..

The 15 minutes of extra charging time may not seem like much, but if you take road trips, which I love to do because of my '22, it will add up. For example, four stops would equal 1 extra hour of charge time. Just something to consider when looking at the bigger picture.
I feel the same way shot the Mach E ironically. I don’t think it is a great road trip car because of its slower fast charging. My wife has an Ionia 5 and we always take that on road trips because of the charging performance. It will hold over 200 KWh until 65ish percent.

Great! All I'm saying is a frunk helps in not keeping valuables in plain sight. For example, I'm travelling right now and have a couple of laptops. I'm not about to lug my valuables with me when I'm visiting a museum. It's all about reducing risk, not eliminating them.

Basic precautions these days unfortunately need to be upgraded.

By that logic, the Hyundai/kia have a frunk as well. Ford removed valued storage space for no discernible reason. How much cold weather range does the silly heat pump add?

If I can ask ....how tall are you ? Headroom was a key question I needed answered when I read about the Machs before I had the opportunity to sit in one and answer the question for myself . Im 6'3 and am happy that the Mach works for me .
