My Fordpass Bluetooth (BT) connection works with my 23MME when I'm withing 20 feet or so. But when I'm in my home office 75 feet away, with wall obstructions it doesn't. That's understandable. What I would like to install is a Bluetooth extender that would extend, amplify my BT signal from my phone to reach the MME when I'm in the office. I have looked at some BT amplifiers but they seem to be audio only. I have a BT antenna on my PC but it obviously isn't boosting the signal enough if at all. BT is enabled on my PC and my phone. Is there any device that can boost or extend the BT signal that would connect to the MME?

What is it that you're trying to do? If you're phone is connected to cell or wifi you should be able to remotely start heat/AC, unlock, lock, etc. You don't need bluetooth.

Open your Fordpass app. Touch Controls. If you are not connected to Bluetooth you won't be able to open or close your windows or the Frunk or tailgate with or without WIFI.

That is NOT true. When connected to Bluetooth, it uses Bluetooth. If not connected, it uses WiFi or cellular (not sure which but it's still connected and I assume it's cellular)

What??? Of course when it is connected to BT it uses BT. The point is when you are out of BT range the FP controls cant be operated. Disconnect your BT and try and operate your controls with WIFI or cellular.

Yes, disconnect BT. It WORKS. I don't know about yours, but I have no problem using the remote controls when not connected with BT. I have used it many times this way. And I just confirmed that fact. Shut off BT and unlocked my car.

Bluetooth is only good for less than 30 feet. I routinely start the car from over 30 feet away.

Google Bluetooth range. I believe it’s about 10 meters or 33 feet. There are different varieties of BT with different ranges.

Look, you are not paying attention. Unlocking you car is not part of the Remote Controls menu The Control menu operates with BT to open, close the windows, frunk and tailgate. Unlocking your car doesn't use BT. Look at the Remote Controls menu I posted above. This should make it clearer to you. Shut off BT, open the Remote Controls menu and try any of the buttons.

I understand that. The question is can the BT signal be increased or retransmitted with something like a WIFI signal booster? There are many BT boosters for audio (Amazon). But I doubt they would work for the ForPass Remote Controls.

YOU are not paying attention. EVERY CONTROL IN THE REMOTE CONTROL MENU WORKS WITHOUT BLUETOOTH TURNED ON. I have started my car from 500 feet away. Locked and unlocked my car from another town. What more do I have to say to convince you that you do NOT need BT for these controls to work???

That is because you aren't starting you car with BT. I'm simply talking about the options under the Remote Controls section of Fordpass.

This is getting silly. I never said you need BT to start or unlock your car. Those features don't use BT. Turn off BT. Open the REMOTE CONTROLS menu item in the FordPass. Try and open your windows or the frunk or tailgate. Starting your car, locking the doors does not use BT. Please let me know if you can open the Frunk from Fordpass with BT turned off.

Got it. I have never had the desire or need to open/shut the windows or open the trunk or frunk from far away. That feature even has the BT icon on the "button" Sorry for the confusion. There are BT extenders and I have used them in the past. But only made for audio/video. Never seen one for this function.
