Bluetooth Static

I have a 2021 extended range premium. When I receive or make a call I get static and popping, I have to hang up immediately and call right back. When I call back the call is crystal clear, this happens 99% of the time. I thought it could be my phone causing the problem but I just got a new phone and it's still happening. This only started about 6 months ago. I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem and do you know of a fix. I'm thinking maybe a past update caused the problem but I don't know that for sure.

Yes I have the same problem. I have a Samsung S 21 and it did start about 6 months ago. I tried repairing phone same issue. I have just done a work around of calling my voicemail right after getting to be my "1st" Static call of the drive then the rest are normal as you say. I too have a 21 Extended Range AWD.

Hey there. Could you please send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer? I would like to take a closer look into your bluetooth concerns.

It may be legit but it's my understanding that the dealer won't be able to do anything. I have the same problem, been that way since I bought the car 5 months ago. It would be nice if they could fix it with an update, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah! I was told months ago that this was a software issue & a “fix” would come as an OTA at the end of the year.
But like others, I’m not holding my breath. The Ford rep didn’t say what year.

Seems to me it was one of Fords earlier updates that broke it. When I first received my car mid-2021, Bluetooth calls were perfect.

If you have an Android phone. Go to settings and search for reset then reset network settings. Luckily it worked for me. Now Bluetooth calls can hear smoothly

2023 GTPE. Bought new in April 2024. Have this issue w my iPhone. Works fine in our other cars 3 of which are Fords. Anyone got a clear answer on this. Sounds like it’s been around a long time.
