that may have been the "Walk Away Lock" notification if you have that enabled. i use PaaK and find that the walk away lock trigger can happen as many as 4-5 times over a ~10 minute period after i've parked in my garage and walk around the house near the radius of where the signal triggers the lock action. it usually stops before 20 minutes though since the car goes into a lower power mode by then.

the car should know that it is already locked (after the first trigger) so the app shouldn't need to trigger unnecessarily. it would also be nice if fordpass indicated current lock state on the car as well but...
No, it was just a notification that kept popping up saying phone was connected as a key. Very annoying.

Why could you possibly care why I want to use the controls more than 20 feet away? You just can't help yourself, can you?
Good Lord, man, for someone who is asking for help (and getting a lot of it), I would think being gracious might help your cause more than being ornery.
If someone understands the underlying reasons for your request, they might be able to come up with a workaround that perhaps never occurred to you.

What??? Of course when it is connected to BT it uses BT. The point is when you are out of BT range the FP controls cant be operated. Disconnect your BT and try and operate your controls with WIFI or cellular.

Not sure if you figured this out yet, but that happened to me too. The “Remote controls” were disconnected. Couldn’t pop the trunk as I was walking up to the car. Even if I was up close. Seemed to be a glitch. I had to delete my phone as key, and re-sync the app. Super annoying, but works perfectly now!

You don’t need to extend the Bluetooth. Will work over cellular.

Did I offend you? I was only suggesting that if you were worried about the welcome lights coming on * because of the proximity of your key fob that you turn the feature off. I'm sorry if that came across as snarky. I enjoy the welcome lights as well, especially when with someone who hasn't seen them before.

*and draining the battery
You don’t offend me. I had you blocked for a while and then decided that colorful characters like you are what make this forum entertaining. So I decided to unblock and enjoy the funny insights that you bring. Pls carry on.

Actually the Remote Controls do not work over cellular. They only work under Bluetooth. There is even a BT symbol on the Controls button. Turn off BT and try and open the frunk, tailgate or windows using the Controls menu in the FordPass app. Please let me know if you can.

Open your Fordpass app. Touch Controls. If you are not connected to Bluetooth you won't be able to open or close your windows or the Frunk or tailgate with or without WIFI.
Frunk????via Bluetooth???

I must have misunderstood your question. I was simply suggesting a workaround that solved a problem I was having. My app appeared exactly like yours, saying the Bluetooth was disconnected. My BT was connected, but for some reason the app wasn’t recognizing it.
