Front Camera Fault/ Out of Warranty. TSB 23-2155

After and hour on the phone (2 drop calls/4 transfers). There is no resolution. They say im out of warranty. They don’t care if the app has all the evidence.

Since the dealership doesn’t have records of the car being serviced, they won’t help me.

But, of course, they offer financial options if paying for the repairs is too much for me! What an insult.

I even provided the TSB number , when they said “well if there was tsb out….”. They back pedaled and said opps sorry you are still out of warranty. So repairs will still be on you.

Had it with ford corporate and their shady dealerships. Leaning towards selling the car outright and taking my money somewhere else.

^^^ This is the reason I am now looking at dumping my '23.

Just got back from the dealer and after 11 days, confirmed TSB 23-2155.

Replaced out 2 coax cables.

Service advisor said that job (labor intensive) would have cost me $4,000+.

In 18 months when my warranty expires, I'll be dumping her....

You may want to consider that Math.

I just refinanced my balloon. At my price invested, if I were to sell now, I would effectively have vaporized about 30k due to depreciation. If I were to buy another new vehicle, I'd be starting over on depreciation and the refinance amount was 26k. There's not another car on the planet that's as nice as mine for 26k.....if I have an out of pocket repair of, let's say 4k...I still have a nicer car and have spent less overall than starting over on a new car.

Same issue, 2021 Premium AWD. Took car to dealer. They went through all the updates for 6 hours. They then added a new camera module, that didn't work. That cost $500 with no fix, said they would investigate with Ford Technician. Never heard back from them. Called them and restarted the process. I stated clearly I wasn't paying another $500. They now quoted me $4,800 and told me to open a case with Ford to have them pay some of the costs. Are there any lawyers on here willing to take this case on? If this ever becomes a lawsuit, please send me a message.

This should be a safety recall for every Mach-E owner, whether their car is still under warranty or not. When the error message pops up -- as it has on my MME over four dozen times in the past year or so -- important safety features of the car, namely pre-collision assist and adaptive cruise control no longer work, not to mention that Blue Cruise, which many of us have paid a hefty subscription fee for, is disabled. Come on, @Ford Motor Company!

My 2022 Mach-E GT has the same random front camera fault. Disabling collision assist, blue cruise and adaptive cruise for a while. Then, magically, the camera stops faulting. My Mach-e has 38k miles, yet shouldn’t this known problem be a safety issue, since this happens while driving suddenly.

When I asked the dealership about it they said sometimes it’s a cable fault, replace cables to fix the known problem. Safety Recall?
