I'm hoping that when they release their updated product the price is significantly lower, and the app actually has all the sounds they said they would have. A Lightning version would be nice also.

When I happened to look last night they mentioned a Shelby simulator for $1k that sounded like it was available. They also mentioned limited availability on the other system for $1606 that hasn't been available. What did you get?

I just called Borla and they said that weren't taking orders for the $1607 system yet, but will early next year. There was some problem with the speakers at high volume for long periods and they have corrected that. I asked about the shelby system and they said they can't sell direct, but they can be bought from shelby. I checked the shelby site and sounds like it's available now for $1000 and they give the same ad and so on. Evidently the full system will have more sounds available and updates available. I might consider the $1k, curious what others think.

I just make “vroom vroom” sounds with my mouth. Kinda like what CarWow does when they have an electric car on their drag racing YouTube videos.

I just called Borla and they said that weren't taking orders for the $1607 system yet, but will early next year. There was some problem with the speakers at high volume for long periods and they have corrected that. I asked about the shelby system and they said they can't sell direct, but they can be bought from shelby. I checked the shelby site and sounds like it's available now for $1000 and they give the same ad and so on. Evidently the full system will have more sounds available and updates available. I might consider the $1k, curious what others think.

Keep in mind that the app and more sounds is a year plus behind schedule. On 10/29/24 Borla said that a major announcement of 2.0 was Imminent. Nearly 50 days later, nothing. Apparently "imminent" comes from the Latin word "soon".

2.0 apparently is a total redesign, and initial buyers are getting some new components. One flaw was the system could not handle sustained usage per social media.

I had some interest in it, was on the wait list. Then it was delayed, and they promised a discount when it came out. No idea on the price at that point. Came out at $1,606.99, which any marketer would tell you makes no sense, if they need a price that high, it should be $1,599.99. And had no app. They keep moving the date out. They are a maker of exhaust systems, not technology. This is way outside their wheelhouse. A Lightning version was also supposed to come put, but never did.

They sold 100 units to Shelby for the Hertz version, and then stock was gone.

I would have been very interested if it had come out with a much, much, lower price point. Using it coming in to an EV car show / gathering would be priceless. Or the car event held locally where all the vehicles circle downtown, revving engines, and no one looks at the EVs.

Buy on shelby site, they are selling it for 999, this knows how to do, if not would be 1006usd?

I don't need an external source for fake sound. I know how selfish it sounds, but I want a first class sound generation source for inside the vehicle. For MY pleasure.

I'm far from a fan of the Hyundai/Kia fanbase. But dang that 5N is rubbing my nose in it. I'd love the fake paddles, rev limiter, rev matched shifting......
