Good luck, I think Chinese is a different hardware config so it’s probably impossible to run English builds.

Last I checked, Google was totally banned in China. I doubt any Chinese company would officially put, or support, Google anything, on products intended for sale in the Chinese market.

It's a generic charger... must be a Chinese version that's for export vs in-country

I thought it was a unique connector, but I just looked it up and it appears that the AC version of GB/T (Chinese standard) has the same molded plug shape as the European Mennekes 7-pin connector. Maybe it's electrically the same, too. The DC "fast charge" connector is different, though, so you won't be able to fast charge your vehicle. Chinese Mustang Mach-Es have TWO charge doors on the left side of the vehicle, unlike European or North American standards.

OP‘s Mach E might bought from a private importer in Dubai.
Ford Mach E CN wholesale a lot of Mach E to some export firms after they stop their production in China. These firms usually reinstall the whole system computer to the US version or other countries' versions before they export them to the destination country. They might have missed the one OP had bought, I believe the company that OP bought the Mach E might be able to help on this and get a regular Mach E system that is compatible with Google Maps and stuff. (The Chinese version has its own Map system and entertainment system, and I don't think Dubai could use those)

At the moment, let's see if we are able to switch the current system language to English, I don't have a Mach E nearby at the moment.

I couldn't find the Language setting on the Chinese Owner Manual. Could you try to see if you are able to find "语言" (Language) on this page?

I would take the vehicle to a ford dealer and let them deal with it. Frankly, who knows how much personal information a Chinese vehicle would harvest and ship back to Beijing.

I am curious though - why would ANYONE in the Middle East buy an electric car? Sort of seems silly when you’re swimming in free petrol over there.

Hi All, i bought a mach e that turned out to be Chinese import with Chinese only infotainment system. Anyone knows if its possible to over-ride it and reinstall the English Version? I believe its sync 4 that's installed on it

I have already changed languages on Chinese cars. You can't do this with any coding. You need to physically change Sync as well as the unit and new wiring. This is quite expensive. We charge $1,500 for this work.
