This is fun. My Pixel 9 Pro got the Jan 2025 Android 15 security patch and now PaaK no longer works. I have tried clearing the FordPass app cache and that doesn't help. I haven't try to re-setup the PaaK to see if that will fix it. I guess I'll try that next.

Same issue... Paak broken after Jan update on my Pixel 9 Pro Xl.

Deleting and setting up paak work for about a day but now it's back to not working again so...??‍

Just for kicks, I downloaded the January 5 security update tonight.

No problem at all. PaaK works fine, as it has all along thru Android 14 and 15. Pixel 8 Pro.

Maybe the January update is not the cause of the problem? Or maybe it is, but only for Pixel 9s?Hey this is fun!

There was an update to the Ford app today on Android.... So I installed it and tried resetting paak again... It's currently working but it had broken on me after I had driven somewhere... But fingers crossed this update was a fix.

My ford pass app hasn’t updated since dec 3. Shows version 5.10
My Samsung January update brought back PAAK, but I’m noticing some instances where I need to unlock my phone and even open the app to get it to connect. Probably works 3:4 times without unlocking the phone

I deleted the PaaK and set it up again and all is well.

Prior to the Jan 2025 Android patch, PaaK on my Pixel 9 Pro was a bit sluggish for the car to recognize it. I would most times have to wait up to 30-60 seconds after walking to the driver door before it would recognize. I have gotten into the habit of entering the keypad code to unlock the door so I could at least be getting into the vehicle while PaaK was coming online.

Now after the Jan 2025 Android patch _and_ deleting and setting up PaaK again, it has been flawless. It still hasn't been a full week of use so I'll hold out final judgement until a few more days, but it's looking like it's finally working like it should.

I took the January security patch on my S24+ last week and had honestly forgot about the PAAK issues since I was carrying my keys around with me. Yesterday I got a ding that no key was found when I pulled out of my garage and realized I didn't have my keys, but then the message went away and it was fine. Guessing It was connected to the keys in the house at startup and then hopped over the PAAK when I got too far away. I'll leave the keys at home for a while and see how it goes.

So I guess I was just now getting that dec 3rd update, cause a day later my paak is refusing to connect again. So guess I'll be caring around my keys for a bit til Ford can sort the issue out.

Ordinarily, I would not watch water boil when it comes to getting an update on my phone (S23+) but this time matters more. It's fine carrying a FOB with me but I liked that my phone worked as a back up key if I forgot the FOB. Hurry up Samsung (and AT&T). No more carrier locked phones for me going forward (slows the update process).

Fortunately I've never had an update from Ford that removed a function like being able to get in your car. This update from samsung that broke paak is kind of important.

I guess somebody heard this discussion because I just checked and I was able to update my S23+ to the Jan. update( S916USQS5CXL7 ). I'm not with my MME but will check it later.

Let me know if it works for you. My S23 Ultra got the January update this morning but my PAAK still isn't working.
I didn't try deleting PAAK and setting up again as I had an early morning work meeting so didn't have much to mess with it.
