4-week MME owner here with some questions that are probably answered elsewhere...so please be gentle.

Since bringing it home, we've had unseasonably cold weather. Yes, I get that this impacts range. I'm just trying to operate with best practices until we get some thawing.

Also: I'm still three days out from L2 charging at home while I wait for the electricians to come do their thing...so these questions are for L1 charging only.

So:
Battery already charged to 95%. L1 charging only. Three hours until I know I'm leaving.
Outside air temp: 16 degrees (F)
Garage temp: 30 degrees (F)

Q1: Do I want to to keep the mobile charger plugged in for my known departure time?
Q2: Since it's plugged in anyway (for the "on-plug"preps), should I have it add charge too?

Or should I just sit at 95%, and drive away when ready?

Just let it sit plugged in. There is little to no benefit trying to precondition using a 120V EVSE.
You can remote start a few minutes prior to departure if you like a warm cabin.
With a 30F garage temp, you’re not going to have any issues.

Car won't precondition on level 1 charging.

If you're driving a shirt distance (less than 20 miles? Not sure of the exact distance) preconditioning is a waste of energy.

You can just start the car and turn off auto shutoff in the menu to effectively precondition while plugged in though. Might be worth doing for a longer trip.
