Hello,
I'm interested in buying a used Mach E first edition from a private party.
I went and took a look at it last week and it looks great and appears to have been well maintained. Current owner also provide a copy of the warranty service receipt for HVJB replacement that occurred last year, which I was glad to see. I plugged in my OBD tool, and the HV battery SOH registered at 92% which seems good. Current owner also has a Ford Premium Care extended warranty through 2026 that they will transfer to me as part of sale.
VIN on this is vehicle is 3FMTK3SU0MMA06811
It's at 56K miles and as this is my first EV purchase, I had the current owner take it to their local Ford dealer where I paid for a pre-sale inspection. In case anyone is wondering, cost for the pre-inspection came to $223 with tax.
Service Advisor went through report with me on the phone, said they recommended that some of the modules be updated with new version of software and that can only be done though their computer, estimated cost at around $1k. Service advisor said seemed like a well maintained car that's in good condition. Check engine light is not on, and there are no set DTC that rep mentioned.
There was no personal info on the PDF report they sent me, so I attached to this message for the community. I also think it's a helpful example of what a dealer pre-inspection report might look like for others to see, and to help decide if it's worth the expense for them.
So here's my questions for this community:

So here's my questions for this community:
- Anyone see any red flags from this report?
- Thoughts on if I should applying all of these updates, and if there is any that are must-do / should-do items in the list?
