That would be awesome, I appreciate anyone who could help!

Honestly the battery issue doesn't worry me too much if it is something Ford is standing behind and absolutely will fix at their expense if or when it needs it. Admittedly I haven't had a lot of time to dig through this forum to get all the details about the battery issue so I appreciate you all clarifying for me, a question I'm sure has been asked a thousand times.
No repairs yet, so it’s on the original faulty HVBJB. Recall software installed via OTA. SYNC update pending. Original RFA software so PAAK will be crap until that’s updated.

Thank you so much for checking in on that for me! Is this something you're able to see because you have access to some kind of system, or is that information available somewhere to the public?

Also, if 22S41 has been accomplished already, that's a good thing right? Shouldn't have anything to worry about regarding the HVBJB?
Yes, that’s correct (in that it probably won’t leave you stranded, but you may still need to replace the HVBJB in the future), but it won’t have BlueCruise enabled, nor will it have the improved charging curves, PAAK improvements, braking improvements or anything else in those campaigns.

You can ask the dealer to do the campaigns and they should do most of them, except the BlueCruise one has expired and they probably won’t honor that one (because they won’t get paid and it takes all day to do). Worth the shot though, and you can either do it yourself with about $700 in equipment or you can find a friendly forum member near you who has the equipment and can do it for you.

Thinking about picking up a First Edition with 17k mi. I’ve seen lots of pictures and videos of the car but won’t get to check it out in person for a few days. Any suggestions for particular things to look out for? According to its carfax, it may still need the glass recall addressed and the extra key fob.
Who are you buying it from? Dealer? Carmax?

It is possible this vehicle might have already received the Blue Cruise Hands Free OTAs? If so, then BCHF would function with a valid account. Which of course this car wouldn't have since I believe the 1 year free trial is for original owners only. A subsequent owner would have to pay a subscription to get BCHF I presume. If they signed up via the Ford.com account and it doesn't work then wouldn't Ford have them go to the dealership to get the software installed? Seems like they would (assuming they want subscribers for that service).

I am very curious to learn what happens for future owners of these vehicles who want certain features such as BCHF, Alexa or YouTube etc yet the car doesn't have the necessary software installed. ?

It’s at a dealer, but Mazda, not Ford.
For many years, Ford and Mazda shared the same calibrations. I don't think that is the case any longer though. Even so, changes are very very good that some of the techs at Mazda have a subscription to the Ford system so don't be afraid to insist they fully update the car for you.

The scary one is the BlueCruise Hands Free software. @Mach-Lee is correct in that many of the early vehicles are nearly impossible to get BC to install successfully. My car was one of those affected by that issue. According to the tech notes from when they finally figured it out......the roadblock was actually on Ford's end. They had corrupt software on their servers and it was affecting my car somehow.

I don't really know how that can happen but I do remember there was a large group of pre-OKTB vehicles that were held at the factory for a couple of months while they replaced Sync hardware. It's possible the two situations are related somehow. ????

If anyone happens to see this in the next hour or so, I would love to see what you find if you check this VIN:

3FMTK3SU8MMA23551

It’s Carfax only has the extra key fob campaign listed.

So much FUD in this thread.

My first edition, with all the updates (including BC) and recalls performed has been nothing but flawless. 52,000 miles and counting.
