My 75k bumper to bumper extended warranty... went out yesterday as I hit that number. I was curious what it would cost, but seems, Ford doesn't want to warranty that high of mileage.

I guess I am going to hope for the best :devilish:

Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone has any questions before the prices increase for Ford ESPs!

I am happy to help address any questions and help with peace-of-mind with your vehicle.

Prices these days along with labor can add up quickly. So much technology with newer vehicles as well!

Have a great week!

I'm interested in a Premiumcare EV plan Zach for my Mach E. I've looked over a brochure of the EV plan and it outlines coverage including for some of the control modules and other tech components. But when I go through the selection pages on the website to choose the plan, it is listed as PremiumCare but not PremiumCare EV. How do I know I'm buying the EV plan before I arrange for payment?

At this time, we do not have a brochure. It will mimic your Bumper to Bumper warranty though.
I'm eager for Zach to explain to me why I'm incorrect for typing this (honestly, I WANT to be wrong) but....

Please don't buy this thinking it's a TRUE extension of the 3yr/36k. It's not. I bought the most expensive/longest term option available when I purchased my car in '21 - obviously I'm now outside of the 3yr/36k, but (again) stopped receiving ANY OTA updates. Took it into the dealer. They spent 20 hours updating the car and presented a $2200 bill. I opened a case with Ford BEV, and they agreed to cover $1500 (again, this is FORD BEV doing this as a goodwill gesture, nothing to do with warranty (as software is not covered)). Currently my car is being held hostage over a $700 invoice for a tech hooking a cable to the car and clicking buttons on a screen.

Zach, assuming I'm correct please stop telling people that this warranty "mimics" the bumper-to-bumper. If I'm wrong, would love any tips/tricks you could provide me in convincing my dealer that my warranty does indeed "mimic" the factory warranty.

Here are some better words: Premiumcare is going to be the closest to the factory warranty, but it does state in the brochures (under the high-tech column), and in the terms and conditions, the software is not covered. I was able to grab ahold of the brochures!

Thanks, Zach.

I'm not regretting purchasing the extended warranty, but do wish I had given some more thought to this car's reliance on software -- and it's oft-times problematic updating via OTA -- and not assumed that Ford would stand behind their car, extended warranty or not, when it failed to receive any updates for OVER a year, their BEV team opened a case and told me to bring it to the dealer to update only to be told that it's "not covered" and it took $2000 worth of time to correct.

Again, I'm sure Zach is giving a great deal compared to what your dealer would do at signing - just beware that it does not act as a simple extension of what you get during the first 3yr/36k (this is what was conveyed here previously and exactly how I was sold the warranty at purchase....and it's just not true).

Thanks for sharing some details. My question remains though. When choosing a plan on the website it refers to the PremiumCare plan, it doesn't say PremiumCare EV. How do i know I'm buying the EV plan before I arrange for payment?

At this point, why do we need coverage for the items below....we need a Mach E specific warranty. I have never done a extended warranty and it is now not the time to start!

  • Manifold (Exhaust and Intake)
  • Manifold and Bolts
  • Oil Pan
  • Oil Pump
  • Seals and Gaskets
  • Thermostat
  • Thermostat Housing
  • Timing Chain Cover
  • Timing Chain (Gears or Belt)
  • Turbocharger/Supercharger Unit (Factory Installed)
  • Valve Covers
  • Water Pump

We are getting close to the end of the month which means Ford will be increasing their ESP prices.

A good reason to purchase an ESP is Peace of Mind. If you are planning to keep your vehicle for a long period of time, it will protect you from all of the unexpected repair costs and labor.

These days there are is so much technology build into the vehicle which means the repairs can be costly and add up quickly.

Get yours before it is too late!!

There is '23 Premium at a Toyota dealer near me that has about 30k miles. Should I email the sales team the VIN before I purchase it to verify it is eligible? Is there any chance they would be able to pull the dealer service history for me? The Carfax is kind of vague for it's service visits.
