So I'll have a few situations where PAAK would be advantageous.
Is it ready to be used in a fully updated 23/24 and less like to kill your 12v now?
Still need to turn off the welcome lights?
Kill the app when not in use?
Mine can and is still trying to connect to the car while in the house.

I have a 24 and it still tries to connect when in the house and keeps confusing my and my wife's profiles. So I don't use it.

I have a 2022 and have used PAAK exclusively for three years and have had very few issues. I have had to use the backup start code a few times over the years but only like three or four times. I drive my car pretty much every day.

My experience is the same. My car is 3 years old today. I only carry the fob when spending the night away from home.

I have not had a profile issue in a long time.

Had my ‘23 premium for a little over a year. Exclusively use PAAK and only had a few issues where the car stopped detecting the key. Use the welcome lights and never had a battery issue (yet). I keep the app open in the background all the time. A relaunch of the app, though inconvenient at the time, usually fixes the issue. Only once has the car actually forgotten about my PAAK and I had to reset it. I think it was due to an update. Never had a profile confusion between my wife and I. I also have a backup passcode and the door keypad setup so in an emergency I can still drive.

Mine is a 22 that I’ve had since new, and the only time I have used the key was to drop it off at the dealership. (Actually forgot the first time and they refused to take it)

Ford Phone As A Key System Could Be Vulnerable To Hacking

Three MachEs stolen this week on the PNW stolen cars group | MachEforum - Ford Mustang Mach-E News, Owners, Discussions, Community

I stopped using PAAK and slip my fob in and out of a Farraday pouch as needed. Not due to any major PAAK functionality issues, but because I like using my air buds while working out at the gym. The Farraday pouch is irritating to fumble with, so I'm considering hacking in an external battery switch on my fob.

Most folks prefer to pretend PAAK and the fobs are safe and secure as-is. There's a lot to commend that approach, as the odds of your car getting stolen in most zip codes is probably low enough to get away with it.

This is what we pay insurance for. I’d just pray that if taken, the car is never found. Good video.

If your PAAK phone is close enough to the car while in the house it can wake the car up. Same with the key fob. Both can be “hacked” by thieves using relays and reasonably available hardware and software. Of the two, the fob is easier to hack but both can be hacked.

It’s also easier to shield the fob than the phone since most of us are semi attached to smartphones. Faraday bags work for the fob but need to be checked occasionally. You can turn of Bluetooth on your phone while in your house if you like, but that’s not always a reasonable solution.

?‍? Post like this is the dumbest ish on forums.

Fam, you do know that car theft as long been a thing right? Like, it's just as easy to hotwire a car as it is to intercept a wireless signal.

If you want to go through the extra hassle of getting into your car have at it, that's on you...but lets skip the whole notion that the sky is falling cause there's pos garbage people in the world. That's just everyday of the week. ?

I'm more worried about having 12v problems than my car getting stolen.
Honestly, that's the biggest issue with the mach e and lack of dealers educating buyers about how to access the frunk in order to jump it off.

I have a first production '23 and in the beginning paak was absolutely trash... But it has vastly improved since.

Not to mention with the redundancy Ford built in with the door keypad and startup backup... I never feel uncomfortable leaving my fob at home.

I use paak, and my living room is right above my garage. No 12V issues in the last 3 years. I’m sure it’s at the end of its life, but that’s a different story.
My hunch is that after a few wake and go to sleep cycles, it just stops listening. They are also probably using BLE which draws very little power. A BLE receiver will run for years on a watch battery.

I just wish it worked!!!!! It used to but now I can remote start the car, lock or unlock the doors and that is it ......"no key detected", window buttons don't work, frunk quit working, rear hatch doesn't open. The whole app is pretty useless......again. was useless and, then everything worked great and back to worthless. PAAK and the Ford app are definitely not selling points for this car at all

Zero issues with PAAK in my 24 MME. I keep a fob hidden in the car in a Faraday pouch in case of an emergency and if I need to valet park.
